I am surprised to see this is not just me... they have been calling and mailing my house and phone number for a debt we paid 7 years ago.... on credit report 3 different times with variations of the account number.. full number, first number missing, last number missing.... have tried to dispute the 3 accounts and all three will not come off...... AGGRAVATING....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I paid my debt, actually not mine, to this CA, 6 years ago, but they still harass me 24/7...They're like roaches.. Can't get rid of them.

PR calls me at least twice week. Never leaves a message. I hate these people.

It's weird because they are hounding me for a bill that I never had! How do they have my name attached to a bogus bill? They say they are collecting a debt from 1997 on an MCI bill. I never in my life had a bill or service for that matter with MCI! I keep telling them that, but they insist I do. Not sure how to disassociate myself with this!

I do not have a home phone and have a droid X that is my main phone number. I use an app called Mr. Number and it blocks private and numbers that I tell it to. Most of the times it does not even ring, it automatically sends them to my voice mail.

If you're not expecting any calls, call forward your number to one of Portfolio Recoverys numbers & let them call themselves.

YOUR CALLER ID SHOWS IT AS OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA. THIS IS DONE TO CREATE THE IMPRESSION THAT ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT CREDITORS ARE CALLING YOU....WHEN IN FACT, IT'S JUST ONE...PORTFOLIO RECOVERY.....OUT OF NORFOLK, VIRGINIA.
