I think this number has come up before--I did not answer and no message was left on the machine
You touch on a main problem with all these calls---the US phone cos.---ATT, VERIZON, CENTURY, SPRINT, etc., that choose to do nothing about these calls; they no doubt make income from all these numerous calls--in the millions---where is the great govt, FCC, in all of this? Keep complaining to the DNC FCC, maybe it at least embarasses them, if that's possible!
it is insidious the price paid for telephone service that out of country area codes can connect to our phone service and phone company can offer no greater resolution than "why don't you google it and find out who's calling you?"
If everybody did this it would be great, but most won't. I've been trying to figure out the best way to stop all these types of calls, coming from Fla., NJ, Oregon, Washington State, all obnoxious crooks who use these massave robo machines that can call thousands, if not millions, over given amounts of time. When someone answers, even to curse them, that number is resold to other lists. I've tried to use the SIT tone--bing, bing, bing--which some say removes a number from the robo because it indicates it's not a working number--maybe it helps some. People seem to get allot more calls from these numbers than I do; I never answer them, either let it keep ringing, or disconnect jack from wall when see such #s on Call ID. Also, try to "manage" your phone, ie., disconnect jack from wall from 5 or 6 to 9:05 PM, when most calls come, so you're not bothered, and it just rings. UNTILL THE FCC AND ALL US PHONE COs, ATT, VERIZ, SPRINT, etc., DECIDE TO FINALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, it will never end! Too bad. [Let's get the Texas Rangers after them!]
Dom Republic call? Glad I didn't answer. Maybe Hurricane Sandy will hit the area and knock out the a**hole's phone line.
These creeps call dozens of times, every day of the week. I finally answered, and selected "2" to "have my number removed from the database..." After waiting a few minutes, I said "I want to have my..." and was hung up on. This company, located in the Dominican Republic, is purely a scam to rip off senior citizens. It will be nice when these telecreeps hit their golden years.
Agree with you entirely, except I get a handful every day. Being not completely sarcastic, they are driving me nuts. No way to stop this scum from harassing people. As far as I can tell they have no product or offer any service. They just keep on and on and on and on........
At 0910 hrs. this morning I received a call from this number. It only rang 4 times, but I had to go downstairs to answer it. I have a bad knee and it is very painful going up and down the stairs. When I got to the phone, it stopped ringing. I looked at the caller I.D. and it said Dominican Republic. If I could get my hands of this jerk, he would never call again.
