Just so you know i worked at answer financial for 2 years and the company was prohibited from selling your information however they do buy these lists from other companies and those companies will sell your info. Since they only give qoutes for home and auto insurance it would be one of there many companies that broker AFI to do the quotes and underwrite for them. for instance esurance, progressive, or safe auto was some of the ones that were used for auto and the Hartford for home insurance.So who ever told you that lied. So get your facts straight before you start posting things. However you are correct in any individual needing them to stop calling they would have to call AFI to request them to stop calling.
You are all correct. I went on internet to ask for insurance quotes and have been receiving 3 to 4 calls per day and never a voicemail.
Just called. I was informed that it will take 48 hours to remove my number - it only took 5 minutes to add it!
A call was made to my cell phone, but no message was left. Its an insurance quote online company.
The online quoting site (any of them, doesn't matter) clearly states that it will submit your information to several insurance agencies -AND- that you will receive calls from them. Might want to read the forms that you enter all of your personal information into. Blaming other people for your ignorance only works so long, you know? Most people's "bombarded with phone calls" is typically a few agents leaving a message here and there.., how about you answer the phone and take the 5 minute quote that you requested? If I sent you a request to call me and provide a service for me where you do all of the work trying to save me money.., and then come here and complain that you called me.., would that sound smart to you?
