This is Answer Financial as reported by others. I did begin the process of filling out an insurance quote online, but NEVER completed it and somehow......they STILL received it. I called, pressed 0 then pressed 5 and got a service representative who removed my number, but said it would take 24 hours for it to be removed permanently. He also claimed that they do not sell their lists to anyone. I reminded him that I recall seeing that their website guarantees they do not sell their lists and to do so would be committing a crime. He said he knew. I asked if they had already sent my info to any other company, he said, "No."They better not. I am ready to contact the FCC to report them for false advertising. I am also very curious how they received my info when I did not complete it.Thank you to who ever established this website. It is wonderful!
Yup, I just happened to do an auto insurance quote through overstock less than an hour ago ...sure enough I just received a call from this number about 5 minutes ago.
i had pulled some auto insurance qoutes up online and started to get the call, i did call to have my number removed and let them know i no longer needed theyre service the gentlemen was very nice and also let me know that someone later that night in boston note i live out side of philadelphia and have a philadelphia number and have had it for years, signed up using my number as well. he said that they find that people when they pull qoutes up online they will just put in a random number, so thanks to who ever that was i got double the calls. so this may be the case with a lot of people.
I answered the second call in two days from them, when I asked the operator to remove my number, she hung up on me.I called back, the gentlemen I spoke to told me that I shouldn't give out my number if I don't want it sold, said he'd remove it but I'd still get one call a day.Their number's been blocked and their policies have assured I'll never do business with them.
