Phony group pretending to be verizon rep...do not give info just wants your pun to gain access to your account reported to verizon and they confirmed number to be scam artists....
I can confirm that this is legit, as well! They contacted me shortly after I purchased a new phone and, after providing them with my cell phone number, Social Security number and a secondary credit card number (to be used in case their is a problem with my primary card), they also provided me with informative information concerning Android phones. I would not hesitate to answer this call.
I do not answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize. If it is important enough they will leave a message, otherwise I'm not answering. I have no idea who is on the other end of this number because I didn't answer,
Has called me everyday for the last 3 days, they do not leave a message. Identified as telemarketer so I've rejected the call each time, have now blocked it as it is getting irritating. I do not have Verizon, so not sure that it is their customer service calling.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
