Supposedly Chase Bank calling about my recent claim for transactions I don't recognize. I did not answer so they left a long voicemail. Sent a follow up email with a suspicious link to my work email, which I do not give out. If these people call or email you, don't answer or click on the email links. If you ever wonder how to check, just call the bank and verify nothing is wrong!
Got an email from "Chase Claims Department" The actual email Chase Customer Claims doesn't match the email that I have from an earlier email when we submitted a claim. I called the bank to ask what was going on, as the claim had been processed over a month ago and was told this was a phishing scam and advised to change my password number.
Got this number in a phishy email from Chase Customer Service (like everyone below). Reported the suspicious email to abuse@chase.com (an email address I found on the Chase website) and got a less-than-professional email back basically saying "yes, we reviewed the email and it's from us. Proceed to log in at this other website." Yeah, sure. Time to call the number on the back of my card.
Got the email including this number. Smells very phishy.
Lol! You are so right! I work for Chase and that has been the correct number for years!!!!!
Same experience as what R E wrote on Feb 2 2010. I deposited money into a Chase ATM but the ATM ate up the money and said there was a technical problem. i walked into the bank and asked them to check if the money the ATM ate was credited. They called up CS, spoke over phone for a while and said they will credit the missing money in a day.Next day I got an email from Chase which I was suspicious about. I bit the bullet and did as the email said. The site was legit and talked about the missing transaction. Trust that email. Thank me for writing this in.
As far as I can tell the it was a legit number. A chase ATM ate a bunch of my cash on a deposit and the ATM in the bank spat out a receipt telling me to call this number and a CSR helped me put the money back in my account. I believe someone else on this site had this problem as well.
I think these are scammers using caller ID fakers. I received the same call about a claim. I googled the number and I got to this site. I agree that If they are calling from Chase, they should not ask to verify personal data.I had a weird email from Verizon Wireless about a shipment being sent. The address was in another state and the wireless number was for a land line I had years ago. I think scammers are coming out with new ways to obtain info
This is the Chase Customer Claims Center number. I had my debit card number stolen and my account completely cleaned out. I called Chase's direct number, and was told to call this number. They only asked for my debit card number, which obviously someone already had already stolen, so I gave it to them. They canceled my debit card and refunded the money to my account. This is actually Chase bank or they wouldn't have canceled my card and refunded the money.
1. NEVER DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION 2. Always ask them for a call back number. Instead of calling that number, just call the Chase bank number yourself.
