I just got a call from this number, but when I answered no one said anything and didn't leave a message.I have an ongoing claim for two fraudulent transactions on my account so that's probably why they called. However, from reading the comments above, I too had a strange experience with one of the reps on the phone...they were very unprofessional and people were laughing int he background and they were laughing and repeating things they had already said...it was so odd.
The number listed is the Chase Customer Claims Department. But there's no reason for them to call. I'm thinking someone managed to get this number to show on Caller ID.I got this call after getting 2 separate charges reversed by the bank for fraudulent transactions. They hung up on me, which is something Chase would never do. Think it's pretty clearly some scam. Glad I cut off my old card and got a new one.One of the charges, the company reversed on their own. The other one they gave me the runaround and tried to get me to send them more personal info even though they couldn't (wouldn't) tell me where the charge came from. It showed up on my account under "New Cleanse Las Vegas". Very unprofessional call center where I could hear people in the office cursing over the phone.
I just called Chace about a double charge on my card, one that has gone through and another that is Pending. I was told that the second charge should disappear on Monday. I was then told that if anything goes wrong, I can call the Chase Claims number, which the man said was (866) 564-2262.. So I saved it in my phone.. I just happened to Google the number because as he told me the number, I typed it into my Google bar so that I could save it into my phone once we had hung up. So I Googled it for kicks and came across this page. I'm unsure about what all this is about, but I hope there isn't anything "fishy" going on.
I have experienced everything mentioned above. Now I am getting prank calls from this number. When I answer, there is never anyone on the other end. Ummm
I just got a call from this no 866-564-2262, but the person on the other end didnt utter a word. Then googled and came to this site..its weird. I do have a chase claim regarding a fraud flight booking transaction outside US.
I just got a call from the same number...it is for JPMorgan Chase Claims department...ditto what Pappubuzan wrote. I likewise had charges from outside the US (a European based company) ,but Chase claims that no information of the company that made the charges can be found...WTF!
I just got two e-mails from those scam artists and went on google and pasted the phone number. i hope they will get caught for their wrongful unacceptable behavior. How could something like this happen?
got 2 emails about documents and to call this number..How scary..if one didn't know not to reply..
I got a call from this number....btw its a legit Chase Fraud number....when i disputed a charge i called Chase Customer service from the back of my card and when they transfered me to the Claim Dispute Dept before they did the CSR gave me the direct number to the Distpute Dept which was this number once she transferred me i talked to the rep in despuite dept before hanging up he also verified this number....and btw you can hear people in the backround because its a CALL CENTER which means alot of people in close quarters/cubicle....call and customer service number and if you listen you'll hear people talking in the backround. When i talk to the dispute department only ask for my address and last 4 of my social for accnt verification which i'm fine with.
I'm not sure how to square my experience with what's listed above, but I recently disputed a number of fraudulent charges on my Chase debit card. The number listed is definitely the legit Chase fraud department. I got those two "phishy" looking emails this morning, so I called Chase's fraud department back and asked them to verify the claim number listed in the emails. They were able to verify the claim number, as well as to vouch for the appearance of the email. The email itself didn't ask me to reveal any information: it provided me with a default username (my email address) and a random password to log in to the site with. I did, and lo and behold, it turns out to be a legit "secure document" site with a Chase document listing out my debit card number, the claim number, and all the fraudulent transactions I had related to Chase last week. So I digitally signed it and the charges have now been reversed. Again, I certainly believe that a number of people here have had weird experiences with emails like this -- it wouldn't be hard to fake an email like this -- but in my experience it was actually legit. FYI, the reply-to address was "chase_customer_claims@secure-dx.com".
