This doesn't entirely seem to be a scam. I received a fraudulent claims email after I made my fraudulent activity claim two months ago and followed through with the process. I then received an identical email this morning, two months after the fact. So I called Chase Customer Support (listed on Chase's actual website) and asked about this number and email. The lady I spoke with said that it was a verified number, and the email's information was legit. She said that sometimes the claims department follows up on a claim if they obtain new information. She then said to go ahead and do what the email asks. I did, and it turns out that the claims department was just verifying my claim and closing the claim altogether. They also stated within the provided link/document all information on the claim, and that they would re-open the claim if new information came to them. It's definitely a great idea to be suspicious regarding calls you receive and fishy emails. If you're unsure, call an actual Chase number that you know is legit and ask them about it. Hopefully they'll be honest and let you know their thoughts on the situation. I hope what I've shared here will help someone. Good luck, and stay safe out there!
I called Chase directly with the number on my card, the rep asked what phone number I got a call from so I told him this number and he confirmed that it is their claims dept. It is legit.
I got the email and the phone call from 866-564-2262 regarding a Chase bank claim. I called the number on the back of my debit card and they verified that this is a valid phone number.
I should have been more clear. This is a valid phone number for the Chase Bank fraud department.
I received a similar email claiming to be Chase. Its a scam. If you get the email, do not follow the link and change your password!
Same thing happened to me. This is clearly a phishing scam to collect your personal information. NEVER call the 800 numbers listed in these emails. Always call your bank directly and notify them that these imposters are out there so they are on alert and help to prevent potential victims of this scam. Stay safe everyone.
Received call on our work number saying they were from chase looking for a Sharon something ...we do not have any Sharon here and I told the lady (strong foreign accent) on the phone this was a business - she apologized and said have a nice day.
1-866-564-22621-866-822-2497This number is a scam from India. DO NOT LOGIN THROUGH THE LINK ON THE EMAIL. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER ON THE EMAIL. Its what "hackers" call a "spoof". it will take you to a site that looks like chase but its not. They want you to login and give them your REAL account info then it will send it to them then they will login and clean your account out. After you get this email go to a chase branch and talk to them in person and how them the email you got connected to thease numbers. The reason why they put "you made changes to this" or "Thanks for calling about the fraud charge" because they want you to act out of impulse and call them(scammers)
