US Navy messaging service, usually to report weather issues. Obama is ruining this country.

This is a Mass-Notification Automated System.Many companies use this service to send out information to MANY people at once.That's why people are posting different company names on here.It's a 3rd-Party that places calls for other companies.

I was called by 866-609-8026. If this call was indeed from the Emergency Management Folks, then they can kiss my Axx. Have a nice life and leave people alone. Don't know ya, don't care to know ya. Intrude on a Democrat please. They love this kinda stuff.

The message said it was a test message and to select: 1. if i was safe; 2, if i was safe and working; 3. if i was safe and not working. ???

They called me 3 times in the last 30 minutes and don't leave a message

As others have said ... it is an automated service used by colleges and larger employers who need to contact their employees, customers, or students regarding closings. It dialed our house in regards to the Boston Marathon suspect being on the run. We work in the Boston area. In the morning it called and said "do not come to work." Then it dialed us later and gave us the "all clear" message.Our version asks us to press one if we want to hear the message again and to press star if we have received the message. If you are getting a call from this number and can't hear a message ... tell your employer or whatever organization is calling you. Otherwise, you might go into work when it is closed because of a water leak or some such problem.

It appears to be an alert system used by many universities. I received several calls this AM stating a fire alarm at UNLV in Las Vegas, where I sometimes teach.

It may also be the Navy, or other Military branches. They also use this weather alert system to test the alerts and readiness. If you have your home/cell/work number registered, they will call all of them to alert you.
