As others have said ... it is an automated service used by colleges and larger employers who need to contact their employees, customers, or students regarding closings. It dialed our house in regards to the Boston Marathon suspect being on the run. We work in the Boston area. In the morning it called and said "do not come to work." Then it dialed us later and gave us the "all clear" message.Our version asks us to press one if we want to hear the message again and to press star if we have received the message. If you are getting a call from this number and can't hear a message ... tell your employer or whatever organization is calling you. Otherwise, you might go into work when it is closed because of a water leak or some such problem.
It appears to be an alert system used by many universities. I received several calls this AM stating a fire alarm at UNLV in Las Vegas, where I sometimes teach.

Claims to be from a roofing team. Somehow knows real name and city. I keep getting texts like this from different numbers, they stop responding when I ask how they have my number.
