My bank account got charged three times in couple of weeks by APPLE ITUNES S 866-712-7753 CA. I got once after I cancelled my card. What the hell is going on??? I am calling the bank again.
I just found THREEE $40 charges ($120) to POS charge STORE APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE 866-712-7753 on my bank statement charged to my debit card! I "googled" the number first and found this thread. Then I called the number and got an automated answer to go to www.apple.com/support/cc for any credit card issues. well I went to www.apple.com and then went from there and there was nothing I could find under support. so I wasn't chancing the website. Called my bank told them what was going on and they are shutting down my debit card and reissuing another and will do an investigation on the charges and refund me the $120 taken. Seriously?? why can't these low lifes get a real job instead of stealing from hard working people!
Oh yeah! It said it was a POS (point of sale) in CA!!! Funny I live on the EAST COAST!
I use apple and occasionally purchase Apps using my Credit card.I noticed a couple days ago they charged my Debit card and got money from my checking account. Two charges of 46.96 appeared from : APLAPPLE ITUNES STORE 866-712-7753 CACalled my bank right away and they are refunding the charges. Also put a fraud alert on my credit just in case my identity has been stolen.
I have had the same problem. there are two transaction in my credit card account from 'APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE 866-712-7753 CA' description of +$106.99 amount. on 04/24/2012 date. I called the number and got a quick message sending me to a website, I went called the number for apple support and was put on hold so long that I hung up. I'm glad that I did because I'm not sure if it was the real apple website and I didn't want to give out any info to them. I reported this to Chase and the disputed the claim, credited my account and had me cancel my credit/debit card. I'm now without one until the new one arrives.
I just found a pending charge today from 'APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE 866-712-7753 CA' in the amount of $109.77. I called the number, and was directed to the apple website, which I just then knew was a scam. I called my bank and they are going to set up a claim, hopefully I'll get my money back, as it was a debit card. It constantly amazes me how many criminals are out to get us. I'm considering cancelling all of my credit and debit cards every 6 months, and getting new ones just so that my numbers don't get out there. Luckily I check my accounts very often (mostly daily), and I caught this before it escalated into higher charges. I feel bad for everyone, and wonder why this can't be stopped.
IT'S NOT ITUNES!!!!! It's a scam company. They put charges of 40 and 43.26 on my account last week. I got a new bank card and number and now a week later I''m on the phone with Bank of America agian, because the charges are back with my old card number. In the meantime I wrote checks to doctors that will bounce.Awesome! The fraud dept. is taking care of it. I did mention to them this site with all of your complains so the investigator can maybe put a stop to it in their system. I also told them that when I called the number it gave me a Viagra recording. I'm female, I don't buy Viagra lol. Just remember, it's not Itunes! It'a fraud that you cannot talk to. Let your bank take of it. They have investigators.
I just checked my bank account today and someone tried to charge $42.16 from my account and this number is listed on the charge. The charge is still pending and hopefully I was able to cancel my card in time. I called my bank and they cancelled my card. Unfortunately, it was on a check card so I'm afraid I'm not as covered as a credit card. I will dispute the charge with my bank. When I called my bank to inquire about it, they also mentioned that two days ago, there was a $0 charge to my account from "MIT Stop Our Silence". I suspect the crooks wanted to make sure my card was active first before actually using it.
