I've been with Allstate since 1989 (my entire driving lifetime) and I have NEVER had 1 single problem with them. The 3 times I've had to make a claim they were extremely professional, courteous, and FAST with my check. And since I've been with them for so long my premiums on a $75,000 car are less than what they were on my 1st POS car back in the 80's.
I have had Allstate for 20 years and I have always been treated excellently...no problems. Best insurance company ever.
I was an agent for Allstate for 6 years and finally could no longer represent them after their poorly handling of claim after claim after claim. I could no longer sign up my friends and family. Numerous times I would have to call our claims or actually get in my car and drive over to our claims department after my customer had called them over 30 days and tell them to either pay the claim or file a fraudulent claim charge against my customers, but DO SOMETHING! ANYTHING. They only have 30 days of rental car coverage and are left without transportation. Or time after time they paid well under lowest blue book for total losses. But the straw was when my own childs $11,000 (I had just purchased 5 months prior) was stolen and trust me, I had it insured properly with increasing the value adding after market additional parts on the policy, and they refused to pay me any more than $3,000. I care too much about people to be able to sell something that I personally no longer believe in.I did love my fellow agents and the company, just not claims. You may be okay with your experience with Allstate, but my guess is, you've never filed a claim.
Yes, I have filed several. Two of them involved collisions with Deers (It was pitch-dark and I was on my way to work), the other was when a man's car's brakes failed and he plowed into the back of my vehicle and the fourth occurred when a dump truck's wheel caught a rock and flung it up against my windshield, cracking it. And, the first words out of all four customer service reps' mouths each time I filed a claim was: "Are you all right? Was anyone hurt?" That speaks volumes. Not only were they concerned about my physical welfare, but they also let me choose who would do the repairs and paid them in full and in a timely matter. And, once, my agent advocated for me and got my homeowner's insurance reinstated when their underwriters arbitrarily denied coverage because I had been through bankruptcy. Two of my immediate family members have had their insurance coverage with Allstate for years and have had no problems.
I have had Allstate for a very long time. An insurance company is as good as their claim settlement record. I have rarely filed any claims. We had major storm damage recently...both golf ball size hail and winds up to 70 mph. All my neighbors insurance policies paid for new roofs! Every one of them! The one company that asked to replace the 6 year old, discontinued shingles with non-matching shingles was Allstate! They do not consider it a damage until the shingle and the membrane behind it has holes in them. So, now I have roof with two different types of shingles.....wonder what the next buyer will force me to do? I switched from Allstate last year. They keep calling to sell more services.
Its Allstate and answer cause they are trying to tell you to pay your bill hahah
Got 3 calls today from call id'd as 866-723-8375 at 9:11a.m., 11:09a.m. and 1:08pm from a "computer" voice. It asked if this were phone number for [an person not associated with my phone number] It gave me 3 choices to choose from, 1,2 & 3. The choices were something like yes, it's a good number for that person, or no it's not a good # and something like dial the caller. We'll see if it calls back again since I indicated they're calling the wrong #. (Phone was off during the 3 calls). I have no idea who the call was from since the computer voice did not provide a company or caller's name.
This is a place of business. They need to make their personal sales, and payment reminder, calls to the insured's home, or cell phone number, not to a place of business. So unethical, and not acceptable!!!
This number appeared on my caller ID at 6:08 pm. Since I don't answer calls from those I don't know, I didn't answer it. However, a message was left on my voice mail reminding me of a payment due on my renters policy. Seems I forgot about it.I've had various Allstate policies, on all my cars, homeowners, renters, etc., for the last 30 years and have been treated well. I've made both auto and homeowners claims and never had any problems. The Adjusters were very generous and fair, making sure the repairs were done properly. I took my car to an Allstate "approved" body shop and after 2 years found my front end was off and parts under the hood that were supposed to be replaced with new parts were either used or not replaced at all! I called my new Allstate agent (I'd moved to a different state by then) and met an adjuster at a body shop. He went over the old claim while looking over my car and told the body shop to do whatever work needed done to make things right. The work cost Allstate another $1500 in parts & labor to make up for the shoddy work at the previous shop. I have no complaints at all about Allstate.
