United Health care is trying not to pay for my diabetic test strips at the pharmacy. They are such a rip off especially since I pay them big bucks for health unsurance. These test strips are specifically for my diabetic pump. The last time they did this I ended up with a heart attack and when I got out of the hospital I was told by the pharmacy I had no health insurance. They are extortionists.

It is a company calling on behalf of United Healthcare. I went to the ER with pneumonia around a month ago. You call and get a computer and it asks if the CHEST INJURY was related to an accident, happened at work, or someplace else. United Healthcare is just looking for a way not to pay claims even though you pay your premiums to them. They asked me five questions and the answer is NO to all of them and the computer will then tell you they will recommend that United Healthcare to process the claim.If this is not scary to you then you are not paying enough attention.

Now the number belongs to Optum, a contractor for UHC. Not sure why UHC doesn't just make the calls themselves. Also not sure what their 'angle' is. What does it matter or not if a medical claim is an accident or not?

It's OPTUM now calling on behalf of United Health Care to verify a recent visit for my child to the ER. They called but did't leave a message. Luckily I looked up the number before I called. They're specifically looking to determine if the cause of the injury was an accident that they can deny or get covered by another form of insurance like employer, auto, home, etc.. As far as I'm concerned the only person that I need to discuss in detail the reason and cause of my doctor not my insurance company. I pay you, I had to go to the ER, it's a claim, process it and don't look for a loophole to get out of it. THIS IS SCARY! Pay attention to the questions and just answer NO and don't provide any details. Be Nice but stern.

Just say "no" to every question the recording asks (you will get a recording when you return the call as well), and you will be told at the end that United HealthCare will process the claim in question.Real great service there, UHC... so glad my health data is outsourced for your gain, and that you try to weasel out of your responsibilities. Horrible taste of how UHC treats their members...

Robocalled twice now. Who in the hell would ever give personal or health information to a robocall, unsolicited. I have no way of knowing this is legit, and I'm not about to volunteer any information about myself or my family to some random caller.So completely, totally sketchy. I'm stunned at just how awful a system this is. Is this even real? I'm totally dumbfounded.

United healthcare checking on your claim to see who is at fault. Automated machine asking questions like, did your injury happen playing sport? at work? anywhere outside of your home? Just looking to blame someone else. Answering no to the questions will result in the payment being made ok. Best not to engage with them in any way.

This co represented the self as United Health Care. The person I spoke with was very intrusive about my personal health. He indicated it was for subrogation and wanted to know what third party was involved. There is no third party. I contacted United Healthcare. I was told by my carrier there was NO type of investigation at this time. I feel harassed and bullied!!! He knew I had visited my primary care Dr and what date!!!!

Answered and listened to a recording that gave me a claim number to reference when I was transferred. Was told they were calling on behalf of United Healthcare regarding a claim to determine if it was accident related. When they asked me to verify my date of birth and address I told them I was not comfortable doing that since I didn't know who they were and I was not in any type of accident - they told me they could send me a letter instead. I said I preferred that. They were not rude about it, I just don't understand why my claims are being questioned when I had them pre-approved through UHC.
