They call either early A.M. or like tonight, at 8:49 PM (eleven minutes before legal phoning hours cease). I don't have a "caller ID", so I never 'see' them coming; found out their # by dialing *69. I'm in Georgia; what recourse do I have against them if they're in Florida? Any hints welcome, thank you!

YES! this is from MIC, and they do not check the DNC list...and know they are in the wrong! Comcast is selling them the numbers...so here is what you do...because they will hound you until YOU make it stop.I just called and threatened to turn them in I said I was not going to wait the 72 hours to be out of their system because that was their problem!! their rule!! I want it stopped immediately! so they put me thru to their legal guy..who's number is 1-800-235-2455 x1290 (he says...I have not tried the # as I had been calling 727-347-1930 their corp office) he assured me it would stop today! I then called COMCAST since I found out they sold the info to MIC after telling me they do not sell this info at 800-854-3642 and told them to immediately purge my number from their system or I would seek legal assistance. So far....all quiet :)

I have been called by this number numerous times during the past month. I have told them to stop or I will take legal action against them. I used this information from an earlier post to show them that I have their information for legal action. I was told the calls should stop with in 72 hours. I told him that I was going to document all calls from now on so if more calls are made they would be used against them. For many weeks now i have been vetfinv numerous calls every day and all day long. I hit ignore every time now. Being a veteran it is very sad that we have to deal with this on a constant basis. Any way to make it stop?

Actually, she is a liar, but then again, since their calling you to solicit your mortgage business is breaking the law, what's a little lie between friends? They sure are telemarketers, who are harassing veterans...nice to have Amerigroup associated like that with illegal solicitations and harassment, yeah? Way to go, AmeriGroup. Nice PR.

Yes, there is a quick way to get these calls to stop. I came across the post of "I gotem to stop" on page 5 and filed a complaint with the state of Florida which is very easy to do at the website provided in that post. After almost 3 months of nonstop calls and trying everything to get the calls to stop, I filed a complaint and within 1 week the calls stopped.

They call me twice a day even after both my husband and I told them we were not interested. They are pushy and rude. I have put my name on the do not call list but I'm sure that won't work either. But I'm liking the air horn idea.
