It is Key Bank, they were calling about a possible fraudulent charge on my account.

They are not Key bank. They are crooks trying to get your info. Don't give it to them.

This is not KeyBank. I also received a call from this number stating it was KeyBank. I work for KeyBank, so I looked up the number for our Fraud Hotline and called that number. They confirmed this number is a scam.

I received a call from this number on a Sunday(Red flag number one), which I already thought was odd. They said there was suspicious activity on my account. They didn't ask any verifying info what so ever (red flag number 2). First thing they asked for was my debit card number. I told them someone was at the door and I had to go. I immediately went to Key Bank's website and called their legit number which is an 800 number NOT 866. They asked a ton of security questions and never asked for my card info or pin numbers. I DID in fact have suspicious activity on my card. Someone tried to spend far more than what I had and was declined, and it happened in Alaska, I'm in Oregon and it all happened at 2am that same day. I was told it was probably the person who stole my number that was calling to try to get the rest of my info so they could use my card with my pin and find out how much spending money they had. Don't give them any info, and call the real Key Bank A.S.A.P.

It's weird that people say it's a scamp because they call me as Keybank because someone was taking hundreds of dollars out of my account and it wasn't me. They blocked my card and sent me a new one. It really was keybank.

They asked me the same questions but it was keybank. They blocked my card and sent me fraud papers to fill up. And they actually asked me a lot of questions as identification.

I spoke with the Key Bank fraud department and I asked them to look this number up and was told IT IS a valid Key Bank number. Those of you that claim this to be a fraudulent number didn't even ask. I did have fraudulent activity on the card and they were doing their job.

Fraud! Don't give them any info. Only troubling thing is that they know I'm a Key Bank customer...

I just talked to Key, there was a concern over credit card use/fraud, but they said the caller shouldn't have asked for my account number... Not sure what this means, I still won't divulge anything to a caller, will initiate contact to a known number for any issues related to my financial institutions

It turns out the Key did call, however I called the 800-KEY-2-YOU number rather than the 1-866 number to verify. They had blocked suspicious transactions on the credit card, which proved to be fraudulent.Thanks KEYBANK!
