Yep...... 866 836-4875 is not a contact number for ups. To bad we can't do much about it that works.

I have similar experience. I had paied the fee at the door, and I have a reciept and payment record on my creditcard, but I still receive these calls from UPS.My call said "This is the final notice, and if the payment is not received immediately, the account will send to a third-party collecting agency". At the other website, people said is a scam and UPS & police are searching for them.I will just ignore it.

I received a call stating I owed money to UPS as well. Only I went to an UPS Center to sent my package; who should exactly how much is owed... Then about a month later the calls started. Use FedEx...

This number called many times. When I picked up the phone, it was already dead silence.

My girlfriend received a call from them ,they want her visa number to pay for toll charges for an order she made. She gave them visa informations and next day she received a call from visa fraud protection..Some company buy something with her informations over 1700$ . I think ups system, was compromised because when they call, they had info from ups , order number, company names, etc. I will call UPS to clarify with them

I called UPS and the call we received was from them (they confirmed that is toll charges).They explain that they didn't keep credit card number in their system. It is weird that the same day my girlfriend gave her visa infos to UPS someone used them 3 times to buy something (we dont have informations where the card number was used)

You sound like you need educating. Perhaps you should check things out before you are so quick to judge. Being informed is a necessity of life.

Well, after contacting my UPS rep and the UPS fraud office, I was told that was a legitimate call. It was from UPS Canada, and it was about an outstanding bill from one of out customers in Canada. Since they did not have the customer's number, they called us - the shipper in the USA..

when you use UPS and ship to canada, the recipient in Canada will automatically receive a $30 charge by UPS for paper handling, plus any customs/duty/tax charges.even if you overnight, the package will arrive in order to make it on the delivery time but the recipient will receive a bill a few weeks later in order to cover the costs.Unfortunately it is a legit call.NEVER SHIP TO CANADA VIA UPS... always use fedex (only charge $10) or DHL ($7) .... UPS is a rip off and you (As an international company) will lose business because a canadian will never buy from you again, its not your fault, its UPS.
