This caller starting talking on my answering machine thinking I picked up, said his name was Mr. Cooper from my bank. Called my bank today. They had no record of calling.
i have been getting this call as well. it could deal with a car loan and the bank trying to get you to get a credit card from them. i am kindof guessing 5th 3rd bank. last time i answered a similar number, i told them i was in the middle of something and hung up.
8668490583 calls frequently but doesn't leave a message and when you do answer, there's no response on the other end --- if they'd just say something or at least leave a message, the person they're trying to reach just may call back and/or speak with them with whatever their concern is or whatever they're trying to solicit --- this is why telemarketers have a bad rap --- just be polite and leave a message or say hello? p.s. i think it's 5/3 bank also
Just answered a call from this number. It was Fifth Third Bank telling me about a special offer on my credit card. The automated voice said information would be mailed to me as well, so if I get something I'll assume it's legit. Still not interested though. :)
I had a missed call today from this phone number. When I called it back it did have an automated 5/3 answer and I was connected to a cust. service rep. The call was to solicit credit card offers. After this call I did contact 5/3 and confirmed that this is a legit phone number for them.
Almost every week day around 4 or 4:30pm (Eastern Time) I get this call, and like others on this blog, there's no one at the other end. No message left either.

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
