Got a call from this number stating that calling from Bank of America compliance department and trying to contact me regarding an urgent matter please contact the compliance department at 877-488-7842 .

Stated she was from BOA ( I have no account) The phone did about 3 beps, I guess to get connected to the scam. Her name was Michelle asked for my claim number that was stated on the voice mail. I told her I have no account with BOA. She did ask my name but she could not look anything up without a card # Again I do not have one. Michelle did say she was sorry and have a nice day . I would only wish somebody could do something about these calls This is were elder people get trapped and loose so much

Called saying Compliance Processing and Monitoring department, gave a control #50240618581. I have no BofA account. This is most definitely a scam.

Got call from this number yesterday, she said from BOA compliance department & this call maybe monitor & recorded for security purposes, ask my 4 last SSN & my date of birth. I said I’m sorry I can not give you that info, she said I understand you are not comfortable with that & I said I will go direcly to BOA branch to resolve the problem & she just hang up. Totally SCAM!

Same as everyone else. Bank of America. Saying to call them back, it was urgent. I have never had a bank of america account so yes..this is a scam.

Got the same call claiming to be BoA. Not sure if it was deliberate, the woman caller left a somewhat distorted message giving the impression of asking for someone I know. She said it was urgent matters. We do have BoA accounts and I thought of calling them back. Later, someone pointed out that number was mentioned in 800notes.These scammers have "improved" as they probably figured there was no market pretending to be IRS. And they don't have heavy Indian accent anymore.

I received the same phone call from a toll free number from Bank of America Compliance Unit. They also wanted my personal account information which I would not give. I immediately called Bank of America's support line and reported the incident. Hopefully they catch these people. They sound so official but whenever anyone asks for personal information, I know it's a scam. Beware.

Received the same type of call. I do have a BofA account. Called the number on the back of my credit card and was told by the BofA person that, yes, they did try calling me this morning. They requested that I fax a W9 form to them. I will be visiting the local BofA office today to see exactly that they think they need from me.

Just received a call from someone who said they were from Bank of America's Compliance Department and needed to speak to me about an "urgent" matter. They asked for personal information which I was not comfortable giving out over the phone and said as much. They gave me a reference number and said to call another number, 844-253-3707. Sounded very official but I know better. I immediately called Bank of America's support number and reported the incident, giving them both phone numbers so they could do more research. They also assured me that the only way they would notify their customers of any important issues is by email, text or letter, definitely not by phone. Beware of this type of phone fraud.
