He claims to be a contractor.. Why would a legitimate contractor use a spoofed, invalid, number..That, in itself, disqualifies him from being anyone I would entrust any work to.

ID says: "800 Service"..... Caller ignored the screener's warning, and said / did nothing as instructed by call blocker. Call, say nothing, ignore the screener's warning, and you get blocked! All scammers and unknown, unspeaking callers get blocked forever! Good riddance!

Called but left no message many times. If you want this to stop answer the phone and say you want their services but are leaving town right now. You don't know when you will be back so you need a number to call them about doing work later. Put that number on every phony list you can find including other telemarketers that call. Tell them it's your new number. Better yet, give them your new number that just happens to be you local congressmen's number. Remember congress didn't put any teeth in the do not call bill. If they get bothered like you do they may do something about this mess.

As previously mentioned, this number is an invalid, spoofed one which inaccurately appears as a toll free number. Scam - best to avoid. Call was made on July 18, 2016.

Asked if I was the homeowner (first question), answered no, hung up without a word.

Still another unwanted call from this invalid (spoofed) toll-free number arrived today, less than 1 month since the last unwanted call on June 16 and at least the 9th call from these creeps since last year. Once again, when the answering machine picked up, the caller left no message, just dead space. Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) often spoof their numbers to cover their tracks while trolling the phone lines, in boiler room fashion, seeking gullible schmucks to victimize.Some posters report this is an out-of-work contractor (probably unlicensed), based in Beverly Hills with the phone number (424) 777-9271, and sometimes going by the name "Mike with California Construction," Folks, the phone lines are already teeming with scam home improvement contractors, scam police charities, scam solar energy vendors, scam vacation giveaways, scam credit card services, scam HVAC contractors, scam IRS impersonators, and other assorted fraudsters. A SCAM IS A SCAM IS A SCAM!

Illegal spoofed call, and illegal spoofed call = SCAM. Didn't answer (I NEVER answer calls from unfamiliar numbers, and this one is both unfamiliar and bogus). Blocked this number.
