I just noticed the other complaints against sontander. I don't even have a car payment and I still get calls every day!
called my cell asking if i could have my sister call them because she had put me down as a reference.. weird. my sister has never heard of the company and everyone I talked to at the call center gave me conflicting info and would not give me a direct answer.
They keep calling and I cannot understand the name of the company. I went on the internet and found that it was originally Sovereign Bank then became Santander Consumer. I am not returning call but they keep on calling. It is aggrevating.
Santander Consumer are freaking rude!!! I have a car loan on them and my due date is not until every 8th of the month. Even if it's still 4 days before my due date they won't stop calling and they are always calling me at work too. I got in trouble for personal phone calls one day. I told them I'm not allowed to take personal phone calls at work but they would not stop.I thought every loan company they atleast give you grace period. Even if I'm not even late yet, they start calling!!!
I have a loan from them but even if my loan is not due yet they keep calling. I got in trouble at work once because they called me at work. What is the matter with them? Like today they called me on my cell phone I didn't answer cause I was at work then they called my work phone. Is there a law that there not supposed to be calling people from work?
Finally got a voice mail from them but it was a automation recording! Its from Santander. I have a car loan through them. Thank god I only have one more payment left. They always call me right around when the payment is due. Even if its already in the mail they still call. Then they wait 2 weeks to even cash the check. I dont get why they are calling to get their money before the payment is even due, but yet wait 2 weeks to cash it...
This company is crazy. They took over for my old car company and started calling me the day after my payment was due. I've been unemployed for the past 5 months and still have never missed a car payment but now I get calls every 2-3 hrs from this company
my husband had filed bankruptcy for his business and called them and said he voluntarily wanted to turn his truck in for reposession (as it is on the bankruptcy) they still have yet to come and get it. the reposession letter was sent out last month and we told them we weren't paying for it any more and they still call everyday and say oh we want you to pay for it can you get this amount or they hang up on us. our bankruptcy lawyer has even sent them a letter and they still are calling. they even sent a bill and are still adding late fees. we haven't paid since november, um hello come and get it. this week we are going to see a regular lawyer and find out what we can do about being harassed since we were told that once a creditor gets a letter, they are not to call to claim any money. guess we will see.
I had the same thing, telling me I had an account. They will call so much for a period of time and then stop. It;s either "santan or Fontan" idk...no account with drive time...so I dont know who or how they got my number pisses me off
Every couple months I get a series of calls from "Matt Jackson". He is looking for someone that my number does not belong to. He usually calls when I am not home and leaves a message. He says "this is Matt Jackson from Santander...." leaving the name of the party he is leaving a message for and the tel to call back. I have called that number back to tell them not to keep calling and harassing me when I have nothing to do with the party they are looking for. I get the same deal to enter account #, and of course I don't have one. I also see calls around the same time from "Drive Financial"...but the tel numbers are not valid. This has been going on for a really long time (couple years?)A couple times I actually spoke with "Matt Jackson" and let him know the person he was looking for would never be reached at my number and to take my number out of their database.
