Something about important papers to be served.

left a message of a recording saying that they have papers to serve on me. I called back and they know a lot of information that they quoted from my bankruptcy filing and wanted 2200.00 to make Check Fraud charges go away. They are claiming that the original amount is 179.00. on an account that was closed 7 years ago. Call was coming from Ft. Lauderdale Florida.

I started receiving calls last Friday from a Charles Dickson telling me I will be served at home or work. Left a number to call 888-431-9131. Called they had info from years ago which I thought had been paid $ 300.00. No clue why or how it may not of been paid or why no one ever wrote or called as it was claimed supposedly in 2007. I said whatever I will just pay it. Guy put me on hold then a lady came on and said I owed $ 1,375.00 but she will settle for $ 600.00 today only with a credit card. When I told her to send me the paperwork and supporting documentation she told me the sheriff department will serve the papers and will be taking me out in handcuffs and that will be embarrassing for the nice neighborhood I live in. I called back and was put on hold 20 minutes and then they kept sending recording messages to my home number. Amazing!

Got the same call. It is a complete scam. If you can get the company name report them!

Don't give them any money. You can report them to the BBB and the FTC. Its a scam. They got me once in December for 280.00 and tried again last month. They use different company names and give you [***] info, lots of scams going on right now. Just ignore, eventually they will stop calling

Just finished with nine calls to them without getting any information about why I was being called. Phone operators answer with "hello?", which is not exactly a professional way to greet anyone. Talked to three different operators, each of whom was rude and unprofessional, talked over me and all of whom transferred me to the voicemail of someone who was supposed to know anything about my "case", where I was supposed to leave all my contact information for them to "get back" to me. I'm calling BS on this.

Called left message that they were going to serve me with papers at my work or my home. Said it was in their best interest I call them back. SCAM!

Getting these same calls. I noticed the caller ID said "697" and I sent it straight to voicemail. They left a message that they are trying to serve me either at home or work and I need to call them. So I did. It was Curtis Payton Litigation. They say I owe $2300 to a bank for payday loans and since this was an "intent to defraud" the banks still have 15 yrs to collect on it, even though I filed bankruptcy in 2010. She was rude, kept talking over me, and finally said "see you in court" and hung up. I was a little worried until I started to google and found all these reports of the same thing. I can't even find a website on them. I tried to search them in the BBB, but can't find anything on them there either!!

my dad got the phone call from the number 888 4319131 under my maden name not my married name saying they have papers to serve me. I called the number it said it was Curtis Peyton litigation. my dad said the caller's name was Charles Dickens. how could a writer that has been dead call me? I first google the number before calling seen the other posts on here and call the number to get the name and hung up before a person picked up.

I got the same call about a check i wrote in 2007, I didn't even have a checking account it was from Curtis Payton about serving me at my job or home in the fine was going to be $2200, the rude lady talked over me and then hung up...I was worried but now I see it's a scam..I am also going to report it...
