These calls only come after you report a problem. I think you can opt-out if you choose on the voice menu when you make the call

No message left. I read that it is DTE survey, but I am NOT a DTE customer! LOL Of course I have gotten DTE bots on my house phone too, telling me of service interruptions etc.

Want to take a survey regarding service for DTE Energy..... My service is not even due to be turned on for another month.

power failure yesterday morning so based on this post if it is DTE, why can't they call from a phone that says its DTE and not some loser call me with a [***] disguised cell phone number

I received a call from them this morning and when my answering machine went off they hung up (what a surprise, huh?).I immediately returned the call because I was ready to verbally blast the foreign speaking spam caller only to find that the person was calling from DTE. Actually the woman spoke so garbled and incoherently that she could have been from some third world Country.Anyway, after asking her politely to please slow down and speak a little clearer so that I could understand her, she became VERY RUDE and those words were spoken quite clearly and at a volume that made me realize that I don't need a hearing aid.She said she was from DTE Customer Service and wanted to know if I was satisfied with my last contact with them. I had to stop and think....my last contact with them was over TWO months ago, so I guess they weren't too awfully worried whether I was satisfied or not. If they truly were concerned, I doubt that they would wait two months to ask me. LOLAs she asked her questions, it took me a minute or two because, truthfully, I was a little bit at a loss trying to recall the reason I contacted them. She became very rude and said..."Do you really need to take so much time before you answer, after all it's just a simple yes or no.After finishing with her five questions, she asked if there was anything else that I would like to add about my contact with DTE. I said, yes as a matter of fact there is....Are you an actual employee in the Customer Service Department of DTE or do you work for an outside company that DTE has subcontracted this survey to. She said "not that it should make any difference to you whether I work for them or not, but I work for a Company hired by DTE. I said thank you for your honest but rude answer, I wanted to make sure that I quote that correctly when I call DTE to complain about your Company and its rude employees, goodbye.
