Received a call from this woman (Indian Accent) wanting to know if we were still moving from (gave our last address). We had actually just moved two days prior, I asked what company she was with and she stated The State of Texas Business Development and wanted our new address. I asked for her phone number and she gave me a local number and I repeatedly asked her what the purpose for her call was, she said to update her records. I asked, Are you sure this is not a telemarketing call, she said "NO" and then hung up. I called the number she gave me and it was a fax number. I tried to call number back to ask to be removed and it said it was not a valid number. i NEVER GAVE HER ANY INFORMATION!! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION!! IT IS A SCAM!!!

Clearly shows that the crooks work for each other. Reminds me of Crap Service.

Same here but they told me they were from Portland Business [***]. and wanted to update our business address information. Then he asked if we are going to move? He never said why he was worried about if we were moving or not. He asked if we had a broker and when I said yes he hung up quickly! This is some type of scam and not sure about what it entails.

Same call asking if we were moving, but this time was from State of Oregon. One thing that was particular is the woman had an Indian accent and had to rephrase her question a couple of times because of the language barrier. She did hang up after we said we weren't moving

Just received a call from this number. Of course I google strange numbers.The other website I found for checking strange numbers listed all different types of companies that they pose under. Notably xyz state/provincial economic office.Thankfully I am with voip.ms which allows me to block any number. Being on a do not call list makes no point.

This caller supiciously reported to work for the State of California Business Development Bureau. She specifically asked if we were still planning on moving and what location we were moving to. I asked who she spoke with and she didn't say. I told her we have never received a call from the State of California regarding anything about location or moving. I asked her what this svc this dept of State of California provided? She hung up.

Same s**t different pile. Keep getting phone calls from Sophia at Shermack Design. If she gets patched through to a voicemail she calls right back and assures me she's "not trying to sell us anything". I was extremely rude a while back which dwindled the amount of times they call but didn't stop them.Has anyone played along long enough to get "real" information out of them? I don't understand where whether a business is moving could help you out in anyway. What exactly are they trying to scam out of us?

My company has been recieving calls from this phone number for the last 5 years I've worked here. Despite numerous and direct instructions not to call back to the business, they persist, even to the point of calling back three times in a row within a matter of 5 minutes. Same issues you guys have - State they are from the Dept. of something-or-other in Missouri and ask if we're moving. When asked what the company name was, I was utterly unable to get an answer. This has gone on to the point of the caller cussing, talking in highly mocking tones, hanging up, and harassment.If anyone knows how to file a formal complaint against these f***s, I'd appreciate it.
