Person with a foreign accent called to ask if our company was moving. Claimed to be from the State of California Economic Business Authority. I asked for his phone number and he said that he could not give that to me. I asked for his name and he responed "Gary Davis." He then asked for a Mr. David (no one here by that name) and asked if I was in charge of the move. I said we had no present plans to move. I asked why was he asking. He hung up. There is no State of California Economic Business Authority as far as I can tell.

Got few phone calls from them the last week. 1st - It was from BC Dept of Statistics. 2nd phone call - BC Dept of Economic Development. Asked whether we are moving so I said no and she asked more info, number of employees etc etc. After a while I realized these guys are fraud, so I started asking, what is the name of the department, what is the number for the department, web address. She could not produce any of those info. 2 minutes of yelling back and forth, she hung up. Concluded that these guys are either working for a Commercial Real Estate company or marketing company selling info. So 2nd phone call, I decided to string them on to find out who is behind all these. So I said, yes, I am planning on moving in 3 weeks, have not found a realtor yet etc.One day later, got a call from Sarah Morgan from Shermack Designs in Burnaby. Google'd Shermack Designs - Nothing!! But she said, she will send me a brochure. So lets see who else is going to call, now that they are I am "moving".

they call us every week !!! they even say they are at 1255 Peel street in Mtl !

our office receives multiple calls from this number, usually five times in a row! what i do not understand is why we have a page to complain about creeps such as these, yet no official way of reporting so the proper authorities can do their job!!

I am located in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The caller from this number claimed to represent the Missouri Business Development Office and asked if we had found our new office space yet. I have received multiple calls with the same inquiry from this caller.

Same thing, here they claimed to be with the local government business office, wanted to know if we'd moved yet, I think it was a robot voice. Definitely a scam.

All I have to say is AIR HORN!!!

Just got one of these calls from NJ Business Office. I started asking a bunch of question and when I asked how they got my number, they hung on me. I just blocked this # so hiopefully that'll be the end of this

January 21, 2013We received a call today from 889-777-1117.Lady with Filipino accent: "Hello. We're calling from the Ontario Business Development Office"Me: "Really! The Ontario Business Development Office is calling from area code 889 -- which doesn't exist in North America! Please tell me how that's possible!"Lady with Filipino accent: "Well we use VoIP and that's why your Caller ID shows 889"Me: "No you use illegal tactics like spoofing area codes -- and my next call will be to the federal police with your phone number to advise them of your breach of domestic telecommunications law. What's your name?"S I L E N C E.Dial tone.Let's see if they call back. If they do I'll program the ATA (see we use VoIP too) to block all 889******* numbers. The phones will never ring on our end but they'll ring forever on theirs.:-)

This is a scam don't fall for it.
