Guys who speaks poor english starts the call by asking if my house is smaller then 2500 sq.ft. then starts telling that he can clean my ducts for the special price of $115. I mention that I found a special on wagjag for sears to do the ducts for $50 and the connection suddenly gets really bad, like a cell phone near a microwave. I tell the guy forget it, not interested and hang-up. Doesn't he call right back, so I ignore the phone and let the machine get it. He hangs-up on the machine.Did anyone else get the impression that the guy was talking to you like you had asked some questions???Still have no idea what company he was calling for...
More duct cleaning calls for us folks on the 'do not call' registry. Sheesh, they're not even smart enough to block the phone number. Why is it that the calls always come when you're in the middle of something else .... AND ... they can't even bother to say thanks if you're polite and ask them to take your name off their lists ?
These calls (received one from this number today at 2:00 pm) drive me crazy.... my solution was to purchase a Panasonic telephone with a Call-Block feature. It's fantastic... they call, you (easily) program that number into your call block list and, presto, when they call again they hear a busy signal and get cutoff (the phone will ring once, though). I Google the number, if I see it's an unwanted caller BAM! they're on MY LIST now! I have found that this stops the persistent repeat unwanted callers. If you're in the market for a new phone having one with this feature will mean you don't have to pay your phone company extra money for their service.
I am on the do not call list.. Why are they allowed to operate? When I do a reverse dial it says this is not a valid number.
this stupid guy call me almost everyday morning at around 11. the prblem is im working midnight shift.. so it really bothers me. im wondering how can i stop this. i told him many times im not intrested but he called back again and again...
Hey, good approach :) Gee, a little inconvenience for ppl bothering you when you're on the 'no call list' boo hoo hoo ... I like it !!
Yep, I get called - standard offer do you want your ducts cleaned - always some east-indian sounding person on the phone. I live in an apartment - ducts are truly the least of my worries, so I have some fun at their expense. I tell him I don't have ducts, I have geese and they are very clean, thank you very much. I let them stumble a bit. Then I hang up - they don't call back as often now...
The first time I answered this call it sounded like he was on a cell phone and was of east indian descent. He was offering a first time free duct cleaning and all we would have to pay is the taxes, then asked how many square feet our house was. I told him that we rent and were not interested, it took a couple times before he would take no for an answer. They called back again the next day and he hung up when i said we rent. They called back again a couple days later and I asked if this was about that duct work thing again? He said "What?" and then hung up before I could tell them to take my # off their calling list. They still call about twice a day.
