Ever since I moved and switched phone numbers I have been getting daily calls from this number. My credit is fine and I owe no debts, they are obviously looking for someone else. When I do pick up the phone to answer them no one is there. I installed a phone number blocking app on my cell recently and suggest everyone else does too.

I getting this number calling my cell phone every day but I do not owe any money. I just keep getting a recording to hold but no message.

Called me repeatedly under some random number and every time I picked up it would go dead. I assumed it was spam and just tried to ignore it but eventually it got really annoying since I couldn't block the number. I did some research and finally found a number that actually worked. They are a real collection agency, and apparently I had some $40 fee I owed and didn't know about. The lady was surprisingly nice to me and genuine. She told me I could just pay the fee to where I owed it and then call back to confirm that I did. They called me twice a day for a week for $40, I can only imagine what people who owe large debts they can't pay must deal with...

I had problems with canadian tire, arranged it, and still get calls from this number.

MJR are a joke! Joel Miskin is NOT a Lawyer. Report in writing to/through, Consumer Protection Ontario, scroll down to Debt Collection, fill out the form. They will and do take these issues seriously. The more complaints the better fuel for us Canadians to be protected by our government. MJR are breaking the Collections Act. Only way to permanently shut them down is to file a legit complaint. I think a Class Action suit brought against them and the creditors that they represent would reap us all huge amounts of monies...if interested, let me know, I'll do the research and find a good lawyer to nail these jokers with.

This is funny because now TWO collection agencies are trying to get money for the same debt from 2005. I always tell these poor b*astards that their parents are really disappointed in the career choice their stupid son has made, working as a bottom feeder. There is usually a long pause before I hang up. Call block also works too.

Stop calling my parents they are seniors and have zero debt. Get a life and go back to douch bag land where you come from. considering that "lawyer guy" posted here 2 years ago, and can't spell statute correctly, I'm thinking you might be better off looking for a real lawyer in your home town.
