this company keeps calling me over and over to try and collect a debt for a credit card that doesn't even BELONG TO ME...it belongeD to a friend who passed away 5 years ago...and he had put me down as a reference...no matter how many times i tell them this...they continue to call me...there are no surviving family members THUS I GET THESE CALLS...any clues on how to get them to stop

Every day I get 2 to 3 calls. Voice says wait a moment while I connect you. The only it rings and I get the voice mail. I leave a message and then I don't hear back. Next day, it starts all over again.I don't have any money owing to them, I don't have any outstanding money or any payments that are being requested from me. I regularly check my credit and reports printed and have no outstanding issues.I really am getting frustrated with the fact that these people keep calling me. If there's something that's outstanding then let's figure it out. But these people I think are liars and somewhere they are racking up points 'how many times they called me'. Maybe keeping track so that way they can say they tried to call me.Stop calling me if you are not ready to speak on the phone. Very upsetting.
