I got several calls from this number. I have given money to various charities and political campaigns in the past, so no surprise. Eventually called them back and got a recording about them being fundraisers. I kept listening and they gave me an option to get my number placed on their do not call list. We'll see how well that works :)

I got a call from the 909-366-4126 # yesterday. I ignored it. Then today I got one from 202-558-4964, again I ignored it. But get this. I got curious, and called both #'s back, and the same guy answered the both. When he answered he didn't say "hello this is so an so with whatever". HE ANSWERED THE PHONE BY SAYING MY FIRST NAME. I didn't respond and he said"hello? hello mr. (last name)? bob you there?" Both numbers were like this. Also this was on my cell phone.

Um, yes it is a scam. They can say anything they want. Notice they told you they were form Heifer International. Others have been told the Republican Party, others the Democrat Party, others Mitt Romney's campaign. Doesn't it strike you as odd that the same number is calling requesting donations for all these - often opposing - organizations?

From California on caller ID- When I get a call like this I never call back, I live in TN and why should I call a California number of someone I don't know. also, never press any button on your phone they tell you to do. All it does is showing your number is active and other telemarketing places will call, also it could direct you to an overseas call that you'll most likely have to pay for.

I'm not sure who this is since they won't leave a message. As far as it being from the Republican committee or what or whoever, you're on notice. I am not loyal to either party at this point anymore. They both (Dems and Repubs) kind of suck. Ron Paul should of been President as far as I'm concerned. Don't call us and I probably won't call you. Get a real job.

Seems to be from Heifer International.

I was told that this is a number through which phone solicitors' calls are routed. The call I got was from a legit non-profit to whom I had donated in the past.

Never answer if no name and this just says California; obviously no one I know. Even if they are charity calls I give to those I want and resent constant calls.
