These people called me three time with in 5 minutes last nite and would not let me know why they were calling

You are mistaken. We do collect on " old " out of statute debts. Most of our collections are on accounts that are less than one year old. Our method of asking for you on the telephone is within FDCPA regulations. We never say that we are you " friend". If we were calling you about a debt maybe you can explain to the readers why you do not want to pay a just debt ???? Why is it that you are giving them advise on how to " avoid " paying for something that you owe ???

Even then be careful. In Georgia, I believe it is 6 or 7 Years, afterwhich time you can ignore the Heck out of them, as long as you do not agree to Payment arangements. They are recording you too.They also love to talk to you like they know you. Example: When they call, hey will call you by your first name like a Friend would.When they do this, and you relize it is them, hang up. They will call back, trust me. Now that was one of the lamest responses I've heard in a while. If the complaints were unfounded, they would have quickly been confirmed as such. Whether you're a member of the BBB or not. What this boils down to is simple. If anyone gets a call from you they will DEMAND a notice of validation. By mail. NOT e-mail or fax. And don't try to pull the old "the original creditor sent that" routine. YOU are required to mail out that notice within 5 business days to the alleged debtor following YOUR firms first contact with him or her. You WILL also be required to give your companies name & valid physical address on request. The list goes on. But I'll just wait for more reports to come in on your agency. Oh, and by the way, no that's not what the BBB is all about. Your clients opinions are irrelevant. It's the reports on your business practices that are what the BBB is all about.
