Call asked me to extend my car warranty. I don't know how they can benefit from this other than finding out if your number is valid and selling the number.
Called about auto warranty. I informed them that my number is registered on the Do Not Call registry. They said they would take me off their list.
Something more fishy than what has been described in previous posts happened to me today. Recieved two spam calls:1) From 702-520-1426 at 3pm today - Automated message regarded extended car warranty.2) From 918-375-2671 at 3:45pm today - Cell phone was on silent mode so did not pick up.Internet research suggests both are scams.I am wondering if these two numbers and the people behind themare the same.
Thanks for the tip about buying a battery.I am about to buy a battery also, so I will give them a fake number or say I don't have a phone at all.Or maybe I'll give them this number!
Got a call on May 14 from this number at around 5 pm. I missed the call and tried to call back but it was a recording saying my call could not be completed.
I have been getting these calls recently. I am a Private Eye in AZ. and can with some certainty say that the two females in OK associated with this number are not behind the scam. If this scammer is exposing his number when he calls it is to get through caller ID blocking. ( A service from the phone company that allows users to decline phone calls from caller ID blocked phones). What most people do not know is he is using a service that allows him to display any number he wants when he calls your number. The unfortunate person whose number is being used is probably unaware. But after reading these posts I am sure they know now! I am curious how the one poster obtained an actual number for the person behind the scam?

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.

Call identification states Rocket Mortgage. Never call back a call without checking number first. Never take the name on caller ID to be the true caller.
