Took call live on a normally outgoing-only cell phone. Nameless automated male (General American dialect, age 20-35) asserted it was his second try to offer to extend the warranty on my car. (Unlikely since warranties on both of our cars expired long ago.) I hung up. As my cell phone number is not widely disseminated, I suspect this is a sequence dialer. I know nobody in Tulsa, have never been there, have never bought anything by mail order or online from Tulsa. I am in Los Angeles. Call came in at 1:10 pm according to cell phone record.

I got a call from 918-375-2671 to my cell phone. I answered. It was a recorded message pitching extended auto warranty. So I acted like I was interested to figure out who it was. The rep told me he is with Consumer Direct Warranty in Irvine, CA. I told him I wanted to get a policy but needed to call him back. He said their number was 1-866-550-8689. I called the number and got a vm for Great Atlantic Warranty. I also googled that number and found a few complaints.
