We also received a call at 6:11pm EST time this evening. Same message as everyone else. Although my husband and I are in the market for jobs, not falling for this one..we have enough financial issues to let this scam help us out!Being that I am in the HR field, I have never worked with or partnered with a company that would do this type of call. Always ask for a call back number and call them back before you give any information or discuss the so called position.
I just got a missed call from them (I don't answer calls that I do not know the area code). Same message as everyone. My phone said the call is based out of Texas, which was weird because I did not send any resumes to places in Texas. After doing some researching, I discovered it was a scam.
I just got the same call at 8pm on my cell. Didn't hit any number and it disconnected after a couple of seconds. No company name was given so I thought it was surely a hoax. There are so many bogus job listings out there it makes my search so much more disheartening!
When you put a resume in on careerbuilder.com or any other website like that, and press allow employers to view my resume, any employer in the US can contact you from that. The same number called me and some kind of bank from a different part of Kentucky that I hadn't even applied for...
DITTO I GOT IT AT 7.49 TONIGHT AND I DO THINK THAT IT IS A SCAM AFTER READING ALL THESE POSTS.WONT CALL BACK
I just received a call from this number at 5:45pm on 9/29/11. I am so upset because I need a job and to have some bogus company call you and make you feel like there is a possibility that someone is interested in you based on your resume is really horrible. All i can say is be careful about who you release your information to. I said my name when prompted to and regret it.Alarms and bells should have rang when i did not hear the name of a company. I thank God for this information and pray that God will expose THEM for who they really are TROUBLE.
I received a call from this number at 7:55pm EST on 1/5/10. I said hello three times to dead air, then heard a crackling and beep. About thirty seconds later something picked up. It was an automated call saying they had found my resume online and felt that I had the qualifications for a job they would like me to set up an interview for. It quickly rambled off a number and then disconnected. It gave me neither the name of the company or the position they were looking to fill.
I got the same call from 972-200-9825.The automated call said to call 888-673-4109 about my resume. When I called it,guess what, another automated response.Does careerbuilder know anything about this?Makes you wonder about putting your resume out there!
