I've been receiving a call from 9726531000. I haven't answer the call and checked google to see who this could be and found this site. I'm so glad to see this website because I'm dealing with identity theft situation right now and still a little naive about people. Thank you this site.
this number called me and asked why I was late on my last Exxon payment. I was not, and I told him that I have already paid this month's payment, due to be received by Exxon on 1/7, electronically thru my bank. he asked if I could move it up earlier. I did ... but then he asked for my address, I gave it to him (I shouldn't have) he asked for my phone number, I said 'you just called it', then he asked if there was any other phone number he could reach me on, I said NO. I got an errie feeling after talking to him, and I'm sorry I gave him my address. Is there anything he can do with that info, and does he have my account number, etc.???? I did send an email to Exxon about it. I could kick myself, because I usually ignore calls I don't know --- Any advice?
Called frequently and continued for a couple of days, even in off-work time. Ask for address, ...info. Weird.
This number called my daughters brand new cell phone, the call was not answered. This is a brand new phone and number (less than a week) and has not been given out to anyone. My daughter is under the age of 18 and we have no dealings with Citibank so I was happy to come across this info here and see it is some scam. I have told my kids never to answer calls that they do not recognize the number on their cell phones and never give out any info if a call like this gets through.
I get over 10 calls a day from these people. I am so sick of it, I just stopped answering them. I have them by the clock now. They call same time every day, from 8 am to 9 pm CT. Ridiculous!
The call comes in as "Data," so it hangs up immediately. They answer as CitiCard, but then under scrutiny admit they are CitiCard Collections. My number "isn't in their database" and that's it, no help, serious attitude. They also ask for my SSN!!!There's another 972 number being used...

Reported them to FBI. This is obviously a phishing scam. I called Citi back through my toll-free number on my card, and they said they had absolutely no reason to call me. Don't even think about giving your info out in a situation like this. Tell them you'll call back to verify THEIR identity, and do so immediately.
