I've been getting several calls a day from this number, some with "tacky tactics" such as saying "Hello? Hello?" into my answering machine. A lot of the entries here mention CitiCard but my CitiCard account is current (I double checked yesterday) so I am not answering.
Had the same problem. Was called twice, couldn't answer the first time. Second time, there was no one on the other side. When I called back, person said "Citicards" with a thick accent and asked for my account number.I refused to give it to them, then called Citicards directly.Citicards told me my account was current, so I don't know why this collection agency is calling me.
I received a call from CTI, Linda was the phone person...they asked for my Aloysius Muscella...when I told them that they were speaking to me they told me my social and then asked for my address...but then they couldn't tell me why they were calling. They couldn't find my account information so I was told. Google search on 972-655-0010 brought interesting information, my caller ID showed CTI...Thank you.
On 6/8/07, after 6 weeks of daily call which I ignored, I decided to talk to them. The asked me if I knew a lady ( I forget the name) and if I had a Toyota Camry. I told them I did not know any such person nor did I own or ever have owned a Toyota Mary. Then they came back with some serious attitude and hung up on me! I called them back and asked to speak to a Manager. I spoke to a Shanaya who refused to give me her last name. I explained what had happened and mentioned to her that this use of my information is identity theft and fraud. She asked me if I had a Citi Bank Platinum Mater Card. I told her I closed that account a year ago. She mentioned that there was a glitch in the CITI system and my number was flagged for automatic calls. She said she would correct the problem.Next day, I received a call from this number and spoke to the lady that hung up on me. I told her I had spoken to someone in her organization but she claimed that there was nothing noted. I shared the same information as before and she mentioned she would note it.
Shows up as CTI @ 972-655-0010. Left a message once about my retail credit card. I don't have any credit cards. Has called every day since Memorial Day, twice each day at 8:55 am and 4:00 pm. TWICE a day!
They started calling about a week ago, every other day but they're starting to call everyday.I smell a scam.
This is CitiFinancial Auto - It may be the same number for credit cards....but it is also for the Auto division.
