Got a call and it hung up immediately.

They didn't answer, the keep callling me

Some female called a friend of mine, who lives out of state, on her personal cell phone to ask if she knew me and my husband. My friend assumed it was regarding a job reference and said we were good people. The caller then asked for our address, which my friend couldn't remember, so she asked if she could call back later because she was busy, thank goodness. What I want to know is how in the world these people were able to link us to a friend who lives out of state and call her on her cell? We don't even have an account with Cit/Citibank/Citigroup--whoever they are. Please beware and NEVER give personal info about you or friends and family!!!

Female caller who identified herself as "Perez" or something similar asked my husband if he knew a Duane Madson (spelling of first name and surname could be numerous). She said that Duane Madson had listed my husband as a relative. My husband told her that he had never heard of a person by this name and she hung up.We are on the official "Do Not Call List".

Received a call from CTI at 1-972-653-1000. They asked for "Shawna." I said "wrong number." They proceeded to ask for "James C." or "Shawna" then rattled off my home address. I asked them how they associated the number with the address. The woman became very curt and refused to answer. I asked where she was calling from and she refused to answer. She got off the phone almost immediately after I started asking questions.

I received a call from this number just a few minutes ago. It is a scam!!!I am guessing they got the information from one of the sites I visited on the net. DO NOT PICK UP THERE CALLS IF YOU DO JUST PLACE THEM ON HOLD.The person that answered is named "Hilda". She had an Indian accent. Do not give them your SS and personal information. Hilda left me her extension number...43219.

They have been calling our house 5-6x/day. If we answer, they immediately put you on hold. I have not been able to talk to a live person to tell them not to call my house anymore.

No kidding, they have called my cell phone EIGHT times today while I was at work and unable to answer! However, they were GREAT when I called them back, they looked in EVERY department to find out which one was calling my number and took it off the call list since they had been calling for the man who had the phone number before me.Lesson learned, get an never before listed phone number!!!

I get this call on my cell phone and don't answer it. I read the above comments, and I don't have a Citi card, so I don't know why they would be calling me. But I did have a car loan through them a few years ago. But it's paid off, so they shouldn't be calling me anymore.

They called me at 7:00 p.m. and left no message. If you call them back, you obtain a message saying that the number is "unassigned". My considered suggestion: if you owe credit card debt, understand that it is unsecured. If you are in financial difficulties, do not pay your C.C. debts. If the C.C. company takes you to court, present your financial status, honestly, and say you cannot pay. If you do not lie, the court will do what is right and let you off.
