received a call from this number at 6:40 pm PST, didn't leave a message. Googled it and got Southern Newspaper Publishers Assoc with same other info as people posting above had.
This New Jersey call came at 18:23 hours on 2-20-08 to our home in Kansas. We did not answer and no message was left. Other posters advise this is Certified Audit of Circulations at Wayne, N.J. 07470, a magazine surveyer and business marketer. Junk it.
I got a call and they asked if I got a gold book, I said what is a gold book, the guy said it was a phone book, I said no, he said well can you please verify your address....I said no thanks and hung up. I bet it was a some sort of scam

every time i have a new yellow pages or white pages delivered they call, i just ignore it.
Call and thank your phone company for giving them your unlisted phone number and address. For everyone reading, don't bother purchasing an unlisted Magic Jack phone line for $19.95 long distance calling for a year. I was able to look up the number I was given on the internet. I also started receiving telemarketing calls and the service doesn't work properly ever. The connection cuts out on almost every call, the voice mail never worked, and incoming calls from my local area could not be completed. Oh, and get this... a phone service that does not provide customer service by phone. Only by internet. Probably because their phone lines don't work either. The product and service is not ready for the public. It should clearly still be in research and development. It's JUNK!!!
