Maybe I caught them on a good day - I didn't have any problems. It was a call re: Keyspan energy bill that I had in my apt in Brooklyn over a year ago. I explained to her that I had the gas turned off and the bill was paid. She said - "No, it wasn't" I replied: "No problem, just send me a copy to my new address and I will follow up with Keyspan by Tuesday..." She said, "We can take credit card or visa over the phone now" and I kindly replied, "No, I will take care of the bill myself in person" ... took my new address, said have a nice day...and there was the call.
I received a call from them and it was a recording, they said something like please call us at 800... for an overdue payment (they never said what for).
A man calls from this number asking me for my DOB and SS#.....I said no way. says he has business to discuses with me..but cannot do so unless I give him the info. When I ask what type of business this is ..will not explain nothing.Just wants information. Very unprofessional and very suspicious.
Received a phone call and voicemail from this number, called back to see what it was about. Asked for the last 4 digits of my social security number, I refused to give it without an explanation of who was calling. They explained: "I am from Stevens Business Service, we handle personal business for clients." When I asked "What does that mean? Where did you get my personal information?" I was told that I was being "difficult" and that she could get fired if I didn't comply. I know of no debt I owe anyone, and I haven't been contacted by any company regarding said debt.
they have been calling me for months and the one time I answered I was told of a debt I owed to National Grid for an address in Rhode Island when I have never lived in RI. I have lived in the same house for my entire life..
Received a call from this number. Left a voice mail for me to call them. I did so on my land line. They were looking for a debt. All I can think of is that it belongs to the person who had my cell phone number before I got it a week ago.
