Just got a call from this number, but didn't answer...I looked a minute later and there was a voicemail - yep, the same stupid BS about a free trip to Cancun...who the hell falls for this stuff???
Just received the same call. I didn't answer but I called back and listened to their music for about 5 seconds.First thing.... this needs to be reported. It could be that they are trying to tap into your long distance plan so you will receive the bill for their usage. This is some kind of a rip off and the music sucks! There is a paper trail to whoever is responsible for this so report it.... I will.
Numbers that go on the National "Do Not Call" list are being used for these scams. They found a way to hack into this list - so now all the numbers on that list are out in the open and given/sold all over the world.Government says they can do nothing - phone company says they can do nothing (unless you want to subscribe - for a price - to call blocking) and then it's only for that number; the minute they change numbers, you have to pay to block the new ones....
I also got a phone call from Texas....the name Denise showed up in my display window, so i thought it was my sister....& it was a guy selling stuff.......damn tele-marketers.......
some a** just called to inform me , that I've won $2200 worth trip to Cancun.... I just left the phone off-hook.Call was from Bryan, Texas !

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.
