Same thing happened to me. I've gotten a few calls from these people. My machine answers it. They act like they don't know how to talk to an answering machine. They ask for me by my last name. "Hello? Is Mr. F there? Hello?"who are these people?

I have more SCAM numbers listed in my phone directory than real people!Ridiculous!SC needs to put a stop to this [***]!

the call came from Covington LA...985-635-4267. They called and left a message that they were calling for the Social Security Administration and my bank --and if I did not call back they would take legal action -- Soc. Sec. said it is a scam - so be alert!

I received a call from this number, and being a minister I answered it. The lady said she was calling for the Republican Nat'l Committee to solicit donations. First she asked if I could donate $200. Worked her way down to $20. Sorry, no donation by phone. Not stupid.

I too continue to receive these telemarketing calls and am listed on the Do Not Call Registry. Alot of good it does! Thus far I have blocked 85 telemarketing calls on my phone.

Never answer the phone unless you recognize the number as a friend or business you work for or buy things from. Having your name on the State & Federal Do Not Call List is worthless as these criminals totally ignore the "Do Not Call List" and probably use it as a list of valid numbers to call and scam people with their crap. Perhaps the only real cure is to actually know where they are physically located and have a little "Mafia" style justice physically deal with them and their place of business so it is permanently out of business. This number called my answering machine @7:18 PM EST on 7/7/16. No message was left. Due to the timing and location listed I assumed it was some kind of rally recruiting of protesters concerning violence in the news. If so, the callers have sunk to a new low. The call was listed as from Louisiana and I live in Florida. I have been on national and state Do Not Call lists for years. It does nothing to deter dishonest callers.

This number along with the other numbers listed below belongs to a company called MDS Communications and these are just the ones I have complied up to this point. They “say” they raise money for other companies but they have a sorted and shady history and keep the lion’s share of the money that is raised. They will also use the same number but spoof the caller ID to show a variety cities or businesses. That alone is not honest and makes them a scammer.
