Here's what I do - My phone service has selective (sometimes called 'exclusive') call forwarding. You can select up to 20 incoming phone numbers to be automatically forwarded to another number. I enter phone numbers for scammers like these to automatically forwarded to the Federal Communications Commission main number - 888-225-5322. Sometimes I change to forwarded number to a congress person or senator if I'm in the mood.I did email my two state senators to tell them how displeased I was with the Do Not Call system. One sent an email telling me how wonderful they were because they supported the legislation, the other sent a generic reply thanking me for contacting them and asking for my vote...

Received a call from 985-635-4267. Caller id said 'Covington LA'. I never answer calls from numbers I don't know, but I always check 800notes.com. I now know that this number is clearly a scammer.

"Covington LA" showed up on the landlady's caller ID. Don't recognize the number? Don't pick up.

I called the985-635-4267 number back. She said she was calling on behalf of Jay Sekulow. I love the work that Jay Sekulow does in fighting for our Christian values in the supreme court. But as a doubting Thomas, I told her I usually donate online. So she ask if she could send me an envelope & ask me the amount I could give. So I told what I would give. So she could mark it down. So I plan to double what I told her. I do tithe to Cornerstone Church in Austin Texas & I happy give some of my offerings to Godly political causes. YOU HAVE NOT, BECAUSE YOU GIVE NOT.

caller ID shows Covington LA must have been a telemarketer.

All I did was fill out a Wal Mart survey that's it and had 5 phone call about selling me something.
