If this is the Republic national committee how come unavailable shows up on my caller ID?
Called March 4, 2014 at 2:34 pm. I have turned off my answering machine and I never answer the phone if I don't know who is calling. I live in the Portland, Oregon area.
Covington LA is caller ID. My phone only blocks 20 numbers and has been full for over a year lol. I use vonage which doesnt have a call blocking feature so I tied my cell phone in with my home line so I can block more numbers. In less than 2 months I have blocked 23 numbers. I get calls every single day! I am on the do not call list as well but it doesnt stop spammers like these. This week alone I have had to block 6 numbers, every one of them I believe is from the same scammers. When looking the numbers up, they all report the same companies as listed in this thread.
Again on my caller ID unavailable, so why should I answer, when I don't know who's calling?

This # 985-635-4267 called on my cable TV phone which I never use so I wonder how they got my # to begin with. Caller ID stated Covington LA. I called it back but got only "dead air" when connected.
Have received 2 or 3 calls...no messages being left...over the past few days. I called back moments ago and spoke to a man self-identified as "Rick" who said funds for City Team are being sought and asked if I'd I be willing to contribute $150.00 via telephone? I told him, "No," and to remove me from the calling listing. While I commonly donate to the local City Team, the organization has only ever solicited donations from me via mail....and it DOES NOT have my unlisted telephone number.Let's see what happens.

called and then hung up, left him a kurt voicemail about wasting peoples time. scammers are prevalent, be careful and don't answer this call
