I keep getting calls from this #, I'm supposed to be on the do not call list, why aren't these types of calls monitored if your on the do not call list.
Just received a call from this number. Didn't answer, no voicemail, didn't call my mobile number which is listed in my outgoing message. Called them back & it was a solicitor calling from Mercy Corps. Wildcat's post seems accurate but no voicemail.
Received a call from I think this number. The caller ID left out the first digit of the area code, but the last two digits were 85.The remainder of the number was 635-4267. I did not try to call it back. Next time they call I'll give them a piece of my mind, although if it IS a legit charity, there's nothing you can do except block the calls.
Received call in last few minutes. Blocked. Gave $ to RNC years ago and they can't let go, like anyone else you give to.

I called this number back to tell them to put me on thier do not call list. They agreed to do that but it was ACLU looking for donations because they have a matching gift doner until the end of Dec. 2013. I usually get requests for donations from these guys in the mail.

telemarketers don't buy the do not call list. they are required to get it from the Feds. LEGITIMATE businesses won't call. ILLEGAL businesses are no doubt using it as their main list because they know LEGITIMATE businesses aren't calling you.
Tell them to stop calling and only contact you via USPS. THEN REPORT THEM TO THE BBB AND THE FTC. they first have to PROVE the bill was never paid and there IS a statute of limitations on them collecting any bills.If they CLAIM you MOM owes money, tell them perhaps they should hire someone who performs seances.Then get an airhorn to blow into the phone the NEXT time they call. yea make it painful for them to call.
