REC'D A CALL FROM 985-798-6464. THE RECORDING WAS IN SPANISH AND DISCONNECTED WHEN I DIDN'T RESPOND.
NEVER CALL BACK! There is a famous scam where they call you and hang up. You call back to find out what they want. and Voila, after just 2-3 minutes of chatting, you have $600 in phone charges from some weird phone company offshore.
Received call 11/09 at 12:57pm EDT on my prepaid cell# (which is NOT given out except to a few family members & fiance) - did not answer, unknown caller 1-985-798-6464. Not using VM (unnecessary) so caller could not leave message. Checked here (as I do frequently) - looks like another phone-spam "blast" to random cell phone numbers. I've received calls within the past few months from similar #'s which 800notes contributors have reported on here as having Spanish-speaking automated message . I'm guessing it's the same spammer(s) who avoid being traced by switching their originating phone # frequently as they cast their bait.
