Lady called claiming to be from comcast and said she had some great promotional deals for me.Asked for my husband told her he was at work,i asked her whats the promblem and again she said she had great promotional deals and if i was interested and i said No...not sure if this is a scammer or a telemarketer.
Most likely a spoofer; thousands out there; this is like the 000-000-0000 calls. Either that, or the caller hasn't reset the default on their phone, or they're covering up where they really are. This falls under the "DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME" section of do-not-answer.
I got this phone call to my cellphone yesterday morning around 10am and this morning 9am while i'm at work. I even called up my cellphone company to see if they know anything. But they didn't. Any solutions??
I usually try to convince the person to kill themselves. Anything to take up their time.
Calls come from a telemarketing firm, who buys numbers like that from a bigger firm. They have x amount of paid telephone people, and xxx amount of software constantly dialing people like you and me. If I answer the phone and no telemarketers are available to talk to me, it hangs up. If there is one available, and I answer, there is a brief silence and a click and it signals an available person there to get on the line and pitch something to the person who has answered. NOW they know that is a working telephone #.What I've learned about the all 9s calls is that it can be from anyone (so, Blockbuster, fake police organizations, etc.) because it's essentially a "mask" of the caller's actual phone number

Shoplc. I don’t mind them calling if I have a problem but they called me 3 times in past 3 days to fill out survey they emailed. If I wanted to fill it out, I would have, I don’t need calls, plus I did fill one out but am still getting calls.

Got a letter that said I applied for an AMAZON card. Called the number to inquire what this was for, they started asking for personal information. When I said no they hung up on me.

Scam debit collector. I say 'scam' because I don't have a credit card, loan, lease, tuition, or debit or any kind. I own my home, vehicle, and everything in them. There's not a single reason for a debit collector to be calling me.
