My 85 year old mother in law was billed for two of these calls at 4.99 each from her room in a nursing home room. I called to complain and was told a check would be mailed to her and they would block any future calls from her line. This is a scam, my mother in law is not able to use her phone due to failing health.
I received a call from a Mrs. Tide, stating she needed to hear from me. She actually had to go through a dial prompt at my office to get to my extension. She left the number 800-649-0761 and when I called it I was told there was a new National Directory and to please call 10 15 15 8000, it did not say anything about a charge, just kept repeating the number. I checked here and have not called it.
a message arrived on the phone stating I needed to call 1015158000 to get to someone who was trying to contact me. 5.49/minute Please don't call or give them the satisfaction of fooling more of us with scams.
I received a message to call 888-626-8229, and when I did I got the message to call 10 15 15 8000. I did and I received a notice that there would be charge of $4.95. t THINK THIS IS A SCAM, ESPECIALLY SINCE I AM A VOLUNTEER CONTRIBUTING MY TIME TO THE "SURGICAL OUTCOME SURVEY" SURVEY. James Kent
I tried to call Natra Pure to cancel and was directed to the 101-515-8000 number. I didn't call the number thanks to those who posted.
I got a bill for Dir Assistance from 101-515-8000 which no one made, i am being charged for it (7.14). I will be contesting this in the bill.
I received my Verizon phone bill (NYC) and saw this weird charge. I never called this number and was billed $5.69. When I called the listed OAN Service customer support number (800-944-0171), it asks me to call 101-515-8000 instead to inquire about billing issues.
For at least 6 months the same recorded call comes in around noon and 6 pmto my unlisted home number. The caller ID says fron Fredericksburg VA. I finally called, rest assured, I will be no further harrased,I've had it. Turns out they are looking for my father in law who has passed away. They gave me a 6 didget number for some reason. I didn't call the 10-15-15 thing. They did know his name, I have no idea how. I'm sick of it. If anyone can give me a physical address in the continenal U.S., not a PO box or rented drop, I'll stop them ASAP. I'm retired law enforcement and I'm board anyway. No numbers, give me their location, we need to talk
Been getting calls multiple times a day, just about every day from 800-605-8440. Calling that number gets a recording to 'call 101-515-8000 for a $5.49 charge and their national number has changed.' No explanation what it's about and no company name is mentioned. I looked up both numbers to see what the heck this was and found this website. THANK YOU !!!I contacted my service provider, Cox Communications, and complained about the constant calls from the 800 and what I found out about the 101 number on this website (gave her the website address). The rep said she would flag my phone number to prevent any charges being billed to it. I insisted that Cox seriously consider sending out an alert in case they have several customers being targeted with this. She said she would send my complaint up to supervision for review.
