WHAT THIS GUY DOES IS HE GETS ALL THE SPARE AND VACANT 1800 AND 888 AND 877 TOLL FREE NUMBERS OUT OF THE SMS 800 REPORG, ANYONE CAN BECOME A RESPORG, ANYWAY HE PLAYS A TAG MESSAGE THAT GIVES CALLERS A MESSAGE TO DIAL THIS NEW DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE BS THAT GIVES YOU A HUGE PHONE BILL. GO TO WWW.FTC.GOV AND FILL OUT A COMPLAINT ON THIS JERK AND GET HIM SHUT DOWN JUST LIKE THE MISS CLEO PSYCHIC RIPOFFS THAT HE USED TO OWN.DIAL 904 555 1212 AND ASK FOR A LISTING FOR PATRICK J HINES IN JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA AND THE OPERATOR WILL TELL YOU THAT AT THE CUSTOMERS REQUESTS THE NUMBER IS NON PUBLISHED!WHO ARE YOU HIDING FROM PATRICK?

My daughter got an email to call 1-800-952-5374 ext 262. She had previously put in an application to the company in the email. She dialed the number and it wanted her to call 101-515-8000. Instead of calling, she called the people who she thought had sent the email. They did not send the email. Then she got a second email. Asking her to call again. I am still waiting to see if anything turns up on our phone bill.

I just noticed the same charge on our bill. Have never called this number. Did a telephone number look-up & found all these messages which I never have had to do before. Our kids are away at college & it is just my husband & myself that are home.

I got a call from this scam number, I hung up and they continue to call.Can't the law or government prosecute this [***]?

I looked up my bank in the AT&T phone book. They have an 800 number where I can check my balance, but the listing in the directory is incorrect (800-992-xxxx rather than 800-922-xxxx). AT&T is not responsible for the error and it will be corrected next December when the phone book is reprinted.When I call the number listed, I get a very "helpful" recording saying the number has changed and I could be connected to directory assistance by dialing 10-15-15-8000. . . . that number again is . . . . After a relatively long recording, the eventually do mention that there will be a fee of $4.99 plus tax.AT&T is not responsible. The CPUC can do nothing. The FCC can do nothing. My congressman can do nothing. The bank can do nothing (except to tell me what the correct number is).

Just looked at this month's phone bill and then talked to my wife about a crazy 10 15 15 8000 number that billed us on behalf of ILD for $7.45!!My research brought me to this site and obviously, this is a nice scam and someone is getting rich quick. Well, I will be on the phone in the morning looking for a refund. I will keep you updated as to the results.What really burns me is all the taxes they are able to pass off onto that section of the phone bill also!!Universal Service fee! $ .60Carrier Administration fee! $1.55State and local taxes! $ .62Time to start blocking these scammers. The thing is, I consider myself to be intelligent and for the life of my can't figure out how they pulled this off without me knowing.

I noticed a charge this month and called OAN. No argument or anything....they sent me a check in the mail for the full $7.17.I hope it doesn't bounce!

I've had this 101-515-8000 show up two times on my phone bill once is January 2007 and a second time in May 2008. Both were listed as Directory Assistance for a total of $7.14 each time. I called AT&T who reversed the charges, but am really tired of checking for this number. I've turned in a complaint to the FCC using their online complaint form. Everyone who posted a message here should contact the FCC and file a complaint. That's they only way this will be stopped. The AT&T Customer Service Rep. I spoke with said she'd seen this number before but can't get any information on it. Looks like the owner knows how to hide from the phone companies, but can he/she/they hide from the government? Maybe not, if everyone files a complaint.
