I just got charget $10.95 on my credit card for the same thing. I have no idea what it is either.
I called Nicor Gas 866-262-2121at 86to cancel a service we supposedly signed up for, they told me to call 101-515-8000. I went straight to the computer to research it and found this.
I was referred to this number when I contacted Netflix at the number listed on their Customer Service page.
I mistakenly called 800-832-2414 from my cell phone and a recording said I would get a text message... oops.. I did get the text, immediately figured something was wrong.Rechecking my numbers, figured out that I was one number off. However, I called 2414 back on my land line to see what the text reply to the phone call was all about, blocking my number, as I figured my earlier mistake has now given these characters my cell number. I got a different recording that gave another number to call, strange they break it up unlike a telephone number 10-15-15-8000. I googled that number to find these scamerama reports from January 2011 going back to 2007. Every one of them complaining about fraudulent or otherwise unauthorized charges to their phone bill. “The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.” ~Albert Einstein
I also had the same thing happen to me. I have no idea what this intercollect inc is. They charged my account for 139.99. I disputed it with my bank, The same phone reference was there and when I called the number, the telephone automatically hung up.This has got to be a scam. I am terribly sorry for anyone that has to deal with this. It is a pain! Not only that, I have to now change all of my account numbers. ARGH!!!All I have to say is STOP IT, whoever you are, go get a real job and quit leeching off of hard working americans! I have two children who rely on me for support and I cannot afford to be waisting my time disputing fraud.
you are wrong, it has nothing to do with the phone company. I got a charge for the past 2 months on my credit card for a subscription to free shipping online, I have not ordered anything online or anywhere. the bill had an 800 number to call, when I call it, I was told to call there new international number 10 15 15 8000, which I did not call because it was an international call. so your company must be posing as alot of other businesses if you all have the same phone number. I disputed this with my credit card company and got my money back
just open my phone bill from my local carrier, i was charged 3 time @ a cost of $5.49 for directory assistance in NV. $1.65 for carrier admin.fee ,and a regulated tax fee for the state @ a cost of $1.07 for a total charge of $19.19
I don't remember receiving a phone call, but SNAC Auto Club put a charge of $34.96 on my Discover card that I don't think I purchased anything. When I called the 800 number, an automated answer referred me to a new number 101-515-8000 or a website calling10.com. I went to that site and saw all the people talking about a scam, so I didn't want to dial the number. Discover said they will check on it for me.

My experience is totally different from everyone here! I noticed TWO unexplained "telephone payments" of $10.95 from my checking account when I was paying my bills online. I called my bank and they said that both payments were telephone orders to the same company UMG Dentpr but with 2 different telephone numbers 1st: 1-800-775-6741 2nd: 1-800-278-7312. When I called the first number, I got a recording, directing me to call an international number 101 515 8000. The message wasn't very clear but at the beginning there was something about a charge of what sounded like $5.95/minute! Of course, I didn't call it. When I tried to call the second 800 number, I got this recorded message with prompts to order SNUGGLIES! Someone had actually accessed our checking account, including routing numbers and was making purchases by phone! Now, we've had to close out that account, which we've had for years and open another. This means contacting all the companies that do automatic drafts and deposits. My bank is investigating this and I have signed an affidavit agreeing to file charges if they catch whoever is doing this. I have a feeling whoever the scam artist is with this "international number" is the same one that was using my checking account. Many people would not think twice of a small charge like $10.95. BUT, if he is doing this to THOUSANDS of accounts, think of the $$$$ he's getting! KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNTS!
