I've received two calls (August 6th and 7th) with nothing at other end. I used *69 and found the questionable #. Can this be stopped?
Call on Sept25 around 3:30 pm. Cpuldn't pronounce our name properly. Couldn't understand company name he gave us. Hung up on him. Same call showed up next day around same time on caller Id. Called third day around 4:45. Didn't answer phone in time, missed call. Same # showed on caller ID all three days- 123 456 7890.
3 years later from the date of your message, and this assh*le still says, "hello? hello? HELLO??" on my answering machine too!
Got called from them yesterday, and I'd never pick up. They left a message which ended up being part of an automated menu... "important that you contact us immediately to see about the elegibility of lowering your interest rates, so please consider this your final notice... please press 1 to speak to a live representative about lowering your interest rates... press 3 if you do not wish to receive further notices... thank you." After reading some of the other posts here, i'm going to make sure nothing fishy is going on with my credit card, just in case!
my mom received a call from 1-234-567-890. It stopped ringing as soon as she picked up the phone. I thought it was strange becuase it was clearly missing a number. I asked some of my friends about it, who then told me about this site. Please contact me if there is anything I can do to help stop these [***] from ruining poeple's lives.
After receiving a call from this same number, I called my ISP to inquire about it, and they just told me to trace the call and if I wanted to, contact the police. I figured it would be too much of a hassle, so I googled the number and got to this page. After reading the complains everyone is having, it is obviously a scam going on.I'm living in Nova Scotia, Canada, so this seems to be an international scam, faking numbers through VOIP or something of the sort.I would recommend not answering the phone, if you pick up I'm sure they can record it, and sell a list of real numbers to telemarketers etc~
When they called I think they spoke Yiddish? I have a friend who knows Yiddish and he said it was this: איר פאַקינג קאַנט, וואַשן דיין טאָכעס. He says that translates into: You ƒü©king çúñ†, wash åss (Not with the symbols).
Caller stated that they were sending medical cards to all senior citizens on a fixed income. They wanted to confirm my mother-in-law's address and birthdate. I did not let them go further than my address before telling them to put something in the mail.
