Picked up after two rings, no one on line. Hung up before a computerized call could have kicked in.
I got a call from them today. They called 3 or 4 times before I picked up. When I did they said they were calling because a telemarketer had taken money out of my account. I told them I didn't think so, and hung up.
An automated voice ask me to press 1 because I seem to have problems with my credit card, I did it (...) somebody answer. I said that I speak french and he said I don't speak french and hang up the phone.After that i did *57 and call my telephone company. They said they can do anything and invite me to check my my next phone bill.
I received a call at 10:20 pm today August 14, 07. I tried to call back but the number seems does not exist at all. I searched google, it seems this number is common in US, I do not know how to solve this delema, hopefully it is not the devil call to hell.
OMG i was glad to see this post! I keep getting calls on my cell phone from 1234567890 and i always get hung up on when i answer. I have searched all over for who it could be, even called verizon and they couldn't figure it out either lol. strange!
2 calls today, both sounded like India accent, both said something about getting money back from an account from 5 yrs ago, then as I questioned them, they said calling from a NY condom factory and started talking smut so I hung up, but really wished I had a whistle to blow out their ears - scary.
I would look up the CRTC website, and search there. May not be much they can do about it, since it likely does not originate in Canada. Another thought...contact the FCC in the US and see if Canadians can register complaints with them as well (truth in caller id law).Short of that, set your computer up like I did, with the FREE PhoneTray software to "filter" calls. Messages can be "caller specific".

This Is NOT Wells Fargo! It does seem legit, but it is NOT. I called Wells Fargo & they said no one called me. ALWAYS call the # on the back of your credit card no matter what company it is.

Keep getting calls from this number. Caller ID says 'Alberta' so looks like it's from the Provincial Government, but no-one there if I pick up and never leaves a message.
