I received 2 calls from this number. One came in yesterday at 9:44 a.m and one came in today at 9:27 a.m.I did not picked both time because this is not a know number to me. They left message on my VM both time. A guy left the message yesterday, claiming he calls from Medco Mail Order, need to verify my address before the prescription I order on 03/21/11 can be mail to me.The person also left a message on my VM today but this time the message was left by a woman, both caller has a very deep accent. I can barely understand them. They left the call back as 800-711-0917, which I check belong to Medco, back of my card..................still I hav emy doubt. Until yesterday, I have NEVER get a phone call from Medco. At 12:55 pm Pacific time, I received another call from 614-761-1557 (Dublin, OH). I did not pick up the phone cuz this is also a unknown number to me.The person calling claim he calls from Medco in regard to a pres. for son. I know for a fact we have not send a prescription to Medco for my son. He left a call back number at 800-803-2523. I am in the need to know what is going on so I call the 800-803-2523 and the greeting claiming to be Medco. However, the greeting is not the Medco Standardize and the live person pick up right after the message............your call maybe monitor for quality assurance. The man answer and said "this is BOB" and I HANG UP. Please, someone get to the bottom of these phone calls and let me know because I am sure hell scared. With SCAM going on every second of our lived..............no one is safe.
I called this number back and very nice girl at MEDCO said she would do everything she could do on her end to make sure my number wasn't called again....we'll see what happens.
I think you meant to write, "Jesus Christ, woman!" As Jesus might have said, you shouldn't cast the first stone unless you are without sin.
Got a call from this number for the first time today. Read the comments on a bunch of different websites about this number. Then realized the call must be directly related to what happened to me yesterday:I called in to cancel a mail order service (Proactiv, to be exact). After pressing the obligatory numbers to talk to a service representative, the representative answered: "Hello _____! (My name)." I thought this was curious but went about cancelling my subscription. At the end of the call, the representative asked for my phone number, saying they didn't have it in their records. I asked, "Then how did you know my name?" and she answered that sometimes the number "rolls off" my account and sometimes they can see it and sometimes they can't. Despite that being the sketchiest explanation in the history of telephone transactions, I stupidly gave her my number. Lo and behold, I get a "Medco" call the next day. I have a feeling that Proactiv, and probably a lot of other companies, sell information like phone numbers to a plethora of other companies, and having me re-state my number constituted some sort of consent. In the future, when someone asks me for my number, I'll always ask them why they need it and if I can opt out.
I received a call today. She told me that she is from Medco a free service for medicines. I asked again who she was. She stated you placed a order to be mailed. I told her that I don't use Medco for my medicines then she wanted my doctors name. I blew up and told her that I didn't her know and what is she trying to pull and then hung up.
Got a call from this number today, the caller claimed to be from Medco. I began using Medco 2 days ago after a several year hiatus; the rep knew what day I placed the order and knew the correct invoice #. The caller definitely had access to Medco's internal database, and only asked for my current addressSeems legit to me.
Received a call from this number, they left a message informing me that Medco needed to verify my address. I recently moved and have also just signed up to get my prescriptions via Medco. The message gave me another number to call back, Medco's main number. I called the number and had to verify my new address for my current prescription. They did not ask for credit cards or SS numbers.
It's Express Scripts (formerly Medco) calling people who are already enrolled with them. They want to offer prescriptions by mail. They're trying to save you money on the prescriptions that they already cover for you. It's a nice service they're doing by calling. But if you ignore the calls, they'll keep calling back. Answer the call and let them know you're not interested. They'll give you the spiel about all the benefits of getting your prescriptions by mail (money saved, convenience of not going to the store to pick them up, etc.) then will tell you that you can call back if you're interested in the future or go to the website. That's all. No hard sell.
