This number called for the 2nd time today. Medco. Said she was my prescription drug plan. Called me by wrong name. I told her I had looked up the number and did not want her calling me again. I told her to take me off of their call list then had nerve to ask for my birthday. Told again to take me off call list. Silence...then she said "So?" and hung up.
received call with no message on my cell phone - have not issued this number to Medco... on reading the other posts, I am VERY suspicious and will attempt to follow-up with inquiries. the nerve. is this a scam???
This number has called me for the past 4 days, at least twice a day. I used Medco last year, they saved me money on my first script, but then the price went up. If I am going to pay that much, I will pay the local people. Have told them last time they called, about 4 months ago that i would never do business with them again. This is so stupid, they can't understand someone saying "do not call me again", so I will now issue a complaint with the NC attorney general. Suggest that all of you do the same in your state.

This is definitely from Medco. If you're a member, call their customer service and opt out of their phone calls. They do have a record of calls made to your phone number (as they did mine) and their customer service person was very helpful in getting me out of their call data base.
(201) 891-1029Type: Land Line Provider: VerizonLocation: Wyckoff, NJ****************************Phone Number #: (201) 891-1029Owner Information:1 address in WYCKOFF, NJ 07481Name: Available Address: Available Carrier: VERIZON NEW JERSEY, INC. - NJ Phone Type: WYCKOFF WYCKNJWKDS5 Rate Center: WYCKOFF this is what I got when I searched on Switchboard.com. but I am not paying to search further. When they called saturday afternoon, they got the right last name.. but the first name was wrong. We are also on the "do not call" list, which in my opinion, does no good anymore!
I'm an intolerant SOB when it comes to robo calls. That said I hit redial with an attitude and got a very nice lady. It seems Medco handles prescription drug plans for many insur co incl Medicare supplemental. She knew who I had insurance with. Basically they mail order drugs and hopefully in 90 day rather than 30 day prescriptions to help their costs and our premiums down. Makes sense to me.
This is Medco -- a prescription drug company that works with your health insurance carrier. They're not breaking any laws, including "Do Not Call Me" by calling you if you have them as part of your health insurance because you're a client of theirs, whether or not you like it.They called a couple of times and when I answered, they wanted ME to prove who I am! It turns out they wanted to discuss how much $$ I could save by letting them fill my prescriptions through the mail. When I told the guy (he said his name was "Josh Boger") I had tried their service once and they took my money but didn't send my prescription meds (I'd also sent them a script from my doctor), he kept trying to get me to buy from their mail service. He kept saying I would save money; I kept telling him that taking my money and not sending the meds was a great way for me to LOSE money.
The associate I spoke with provided me with my information (name and birthday only), and only asked that I verify. He told me the prescriptions that I was on (the names and the dosage), then verified the changes I had made on their website previously. Take off your tinfoil hat and stop being so paranoid :).
They call after everytime I do not get a generic perscription. I have already told them their insurance will end in Sept so I am not mailing in a perscription for the whole year. They price gauged me at the beginning of the yr which has never happen before. $300 for 2 perscriptions but then it went back to the same usual prices as before. My health insurance changed last year and did they same thing. The deductables out of the paycheck are they same but then make me now pay an additonal $2000 at the beginning of the year. Wait until we all "free" healhcare. We will be paying more then ever!
